I knew absolutely nothing about leather work but needed to make a scabbard for my sword. The staff was super helpful and taught me how to do basically all the techniques necessary for working on these projects. They also gave me good recommendations for what products to use and provided info on alternative options for tools. Further, they seemed genuinely interested in seeing the progress of the project I was working on. I highly recommend!
Great customer service, Boss man took the time to show me how to saddle stitch. Explained best dyes for my projects. Had all the items I needed for Renaissance leather projects. I highly recommend this store.
We went and they had an awesome collection of hardware and leather, as we walked through the store I found myself being asked multiple times if there was anything I needed. It was awesome because if I had a question about leather, they answered it even if they did not know, they got together and had an employee powow. The staff was very knowledgeable about how to do things. The parking is plenty. The staff was fast and friendly. The store is large and spacious. I recommend this store to anybody who seeks leather projects. There is a restroom available to the public. It is wheel chair accessible.
The staff are very kind and helpful. Their knowledge helps the new hobbyists feel more confident in the shopping experience. I can't wait to start a new leather project. I also plan on looking at classes.
Chance is the man! Amazon let us down with our father's day gifts. I called the store slightly flustered: chance took the time to find answers to all of my questions and put items aside to purchase the following day. I couldn't have nailed these gifts without y'all. So, thank you for that!!
My daughter and I were assisted by a very helpful woman who made several good recommendations and was generally great to work with. While their stock packed what we wanted, we were directed to suitable substitutes.
Extremely high prices and fairly low quality. I bought snaps and rivets for 200× the price I just found at Walmart, and they were the worst quality I've ever used, every snap I tried to set was bent beyond repair after using the anvil I ALSO bought here, the only thing that actually worked was a block of cork, and even that was way over priced. Walmart rivets worked first time, every time, for only 3 dollars.
I’m just starting to play with leather craft with little knowledge. The staff at this location was extremely helpful on where and how to start playing with the craft. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. RThomas was the assistant/ cashier that helped me.
Every shopping experience at this Tandy's is good, but today's visit was even better than good. The employees go the extra mile to help you & answer all my questions! Thanks so much Tandy's!!
Beautiful, clean, creative space! Tandy is a great spot to get your craft-making cravings satisfied. Great folks working there, and lots of choices for what to make. I love that they still have some of the items that my brother and I made when we were kids about 3-4 decades ago. You can still make a leather-fringed small purse and the quality is still great. The only reason why won't make one is that I still have the exact purse I made when I was a kid. How's THAT for high quality??!
