Nice place, very warm people. The food is a bit expensive. Just for a mini taco 4.50 when you can get those 2.50 other places
Truly the best Mexican food in the DMV and in general. I am from Arizona and have been missing good, authentic Mexican food- I felt like I had tried everywhere with no luck. I was overjoyed upon trying the food here- the tostadas were absolutely incredible, the guac is amazing, the salsa is delicious, and the hot chocolate was phenomenal.
So the meat in the tacos is dry, and that’s being nice. I ordered two each of chicken, beef and fish. This is like three day old dry, cooking on a pan the whole time. Like jerky. Crack your teeth dry.
Authenticity. Let's say it again... authenticity! If you're looking for authentic homemade Mexican tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, chips and queso, and all served with delicious margaritas and Mexican beer, this is the spot to go. It's a tiny, unassuming place but don't let the dive-y feel fool you -- it's part of the charm and experience. There's limited seating inside at a few tables and a wallside eating bar, but there's plenty of space on the sidewalk out front. Try the enchilada Mexican plate with a side of tortilla chips and queso!
Having lunch at Taqueria National in Mt. Pleasant DC. Very tasty street tacos: I had Mexican chorizo taco with cilantro, green chili, with pico de gallo and tongue "lengua" taco cilantro, pico de gallo, sour cream with a side of pinto beans with Fresco cheese, Jalapeno, cilantro n chips. A must try restaurant when you're in the Mt. Pleasant area...
This place rocks. The tacos were cheap and very solid. The dudes working were very friendly. One of those places that has every Mexican staple for good prices. Definitely going again!
These tacos are bursting with flavor! The staff is always so welcoming, too!
Thanks for the fast tacos to warm up a cold night! The Bison tongue was a nice surprise.
Food was so disappointing that I felt sorry for them. I wanted to like this place since it's 2 blocks away. Shrimp tacos were cold I ordered pickup and bland and 1 order of yucca is 4-5 undercooked pale pieces. Not generous, not tasty. So many other better options nearby.
Great tiny place for margaritas after work. Quesadilla was really yummy but fairly greasy fair warning! I wish they had a few more tables outside - but all in all a good place for post work drinks and some chips and guacamole which was really really good!
