Taste Place

One of my three favorite Chinese restaurants in Ames the other two are Szechuan Express and Wok'n'Roll --- Taste Place has the most startling hot spicy dishes of the three, so when I really want that zing, this is the place to taste.

I would highly recommend the following menu: hot and spicy chicken, pork in chili oil, and dry pot.

Hot and Spicy Chicken is full of small bones. This was not stated on the menu on their website, so careful Overall the food was meh and will never order from them. 888 is the place to order food from in Ames for Chinese food!

Hot & sour soup pictured is huge portion for great price. Got it not knowing it was sharing size so everyone got to try some & loved it.

I've been to this location over the years, as it has changed names and ownership, and I still enjoy it just as much as the first time. Excellent food.

This is the best place to enjoy wonderful food! It's authentic and sensational, and it's my favorite eatery ever. I moved to Colorado a few years ago, but when I go back to visit, Taste Place is always at the top of my list. Even the energy there is happy and upbeat.

I ordered one of the hottest meals on the menu, because I was apprehensive on the heat they could achieve. They brought it. Wasn’t too spicy to handle but gave me that oh so sought after sweat on my brow. The best part is I’m sure I will get to re-experience it on the pot tomorrow!!

Large menu which was hard to pick from. I got Chicken Fried Noodles which were very good. Other friends have also recommended this place for more authentic Chinese food. I also recommend it.
