Tea Thyme in Door County

If you love tea even a little bit, check this place out. They had an EXCELLENT selection of teas, all of which had samples in small jars that you could see and smell before ordering. They have plenty of tea kitchen accessories for purchase too. The person who helped us was very kind and knowledgeable of the area. She gave us great ideas of things to do and places to see for our remaining time here too. We recommend this as a place to go and grab a tea.

Updated: My daughter had her 5th birthday here and it was fabulous! The menu was delicious and the ladies even made a special sandwich for a picky eater, plus a surprise birthday cake from a local sweet shop! The sandwiches were everyone's favorite! Scones and clotted cream and petit fours were delicious! Everything was beyond extraordinary and we will be coming back for afternoon tea again! Our favorite teas are hot cinnamon spice black tea, raspberry herbal tea, creme earl grey black tea, raspberry green tea and strawberry kiwi fruit tea. Original post:What an adorable shop! Was visiting from out of state for a wedding and took a day drive to Door County for tea here. This shop has been here a few years and their tea selection was good. The actual afternoon teaa just started this past summer i understand. It was ok. The food wasnt any thing I'd call too spectacular and was very informal- from no conversion or telling you what you were being arrived to lack of tiered tea service prices. Again, it was "okay" and if you are seeking informal afternoon tea, you may enjoy. I, however, have been to many better teas.

This is a real gem of a place if you like tea in any way at all. It is beautifully laid out, and they make a wonderful English afternoon tea in the attached cafe. Scones, clotted cream, cake, the works! Go treat yourself.

Nice selection of loose teas and tea-making accessories, with a friendly and knowledgeable staff - a very pleasant shopping experience.
