I visited on a Sunday right at opening. Service was responsive and fast! I ordered the Georges Classic Cadillac w/ half fries and onion rings which lacked that sweet onion flavor. You have a choice of beef or bison, I should have ordered the Bison Burger well done it was not as warm as I’d liked. My order came with pickled cucumbers, which were a nice touch. Over all, the fries were just ok, I can tell they were frozen, I was looking for that freshly cut taste and the burger itself was good, the patty was hearty and I have mixed reviews for having had bison for the first time. It is indeed moist and a softer cut of meat. The taste is very close to a beef patty but missing, in my opinion flavor. I am looking forward to trying other dishes.
This place was interesting. The waiter that we had was amazing. Now the reason why it's interesting is because it brings a different type of culture. It is like old West meets modern day dining. The other thing is that there's a huge bison head mounted in the middle of the restaurant. Now for me I don't mind. I didn't know Bison were so big. To others that may be into animals it can be a bit daunting. I had the bison nachos and fish sandwich. Odd combination but it worked. It was good. The food was great. The ambience was not for me but it was comfortable. This is located in Crystal City. Either street or paid parking.
This meal was extravagant! This was my first try at Bison, and it was amazing! The Buffalo 41 drink was strong and fruity. Dean was a great server, he wasn’t overbearing but made sure our table was good. We entered the restaurant and were seated in 5 min. Order our appetizers, and they came out 7 mins later, and Entrees soon followed.
Fast service. Super tasty. Onion rings were huge. Bison meatloaf melts in your mouth. They actually redid the fish sandwich because it was not up to their standards before serving it. Enjoyed watching and listening to the cooks in the kitchen. They make the hamburgers from scratch.
I tried the bison nachos, brisket and the salmon. The nachos were good. The salmon cooked well but the seasoning was bad it was so bland. The mash potatoes were supposed to be garlicky but it was bland to. The broccoli side tasted wired had no seasoning only a wired flavor. The brisket was well cooked but bland as well. Overall I added salt and pepper for everything. Two stars one for the seating and the other for the nachos.
A family favorite! Comfort food, with a wide variety of delicious house specialty burgers all available in either beef or bison. The bison chili is excellent and the onion rings are ginormous! Highly recommended.
This is the best bison steak ever !!!! The service staff is really well trained & courteous. Tried teds cut of bison .. really great , the local IPA brew .. very good & the shrimp starter which was just great. All in all great lunch in Washington DC.
Absolutely delicious food, superb service as well. Their steaks are phenomenal, cooked to perfection and very tender. The atmosphere is a dimly lit, cozy but loud, and welcoming to any kind of patron. I went on a Tuesday night and it was still pretty busy, so I would guess there's a wait on weekends for sure. Will definitely be coming back!
Great. A hidden gem, well kinda hidden lol, in Crystal City. The buffalo steaks are outstanding. The regular steaks are outstanding. The staff is even better. We always enjoy the booth seating with the green leather, dark wood, and brass lamps. The pickles are tasty as was the desert. I got the strawberry shortcake, which was bigger than expected and more delicious. My buddy got the cheesecake with wild berries, also very tasty. At the beginning I mentioned this place is a hidden gem, well that's cause of the prices. You can't beat em!
Ted’s had a nice warming wood style interior. Cocktails were great. We ordered the fish sandwich and filets. The fish sandwich was not greasy. Thought it was too much bun to fish, but still delicious and would order again. The fries came out super hot an were fresh cut. Yum! The filets was perfectly done to a medium rare. We would not order the broccoli as a side again. The flavor was just off.
