I’m honestly surprised this place is still open or haven’t been bought yet. From Bats, Bees, spiders, etc. You will see it all here. If you think I’m lying I’ve attached videos and pics. Having bats fly around the apartment building is insane. Management either gets fired or leave every 3 months so you never know who’s in charge. You have trash laying around every where so sometimes you might see a raccoon or possum. Maintenance doesn’t fix any issues and they won’t reimburse you if you decide to pay for it yourself with a third party. “Why are you still there”. Great question, it’s cheap and location. I believe you 100% get what you pay for. But that doesn’t justify the living conditions. This place wasn’t bad up until the pandemic. After 2020 it’s been going down hill and I’m getting fed up with it. I also think people who don’t live here should know what they’re getting into before moving here. If you’re ok with living with animals, move here. I told them I have bees coming out my vents and they shrugged it off. I have tape over my vent to help prevent them from coming in! I’m sure I won’t be here too much longer!
The location of the apartment is very convenientGarage parking, Park/dog park, 7-eleven, Harris Teeter, Charlotte city center!. In fact this is the most affordable apartment in Uptown. The cleanliness and maintenance efficiency improved recently. They also returned my deposit back very quickly and smoothlythough I left the apartment extremely clean while moving out. One feedback is : Ten05 management should consider offering specials to existing tenants with good payment historyas well not only to complete new tenants who does not have any rent payment history!!, But overall our experience at the property was good!
My sister was interested in moving to Charlotte, and I thought that this location would be great for her and the her girls because of the location, price and accessibility to Uptown. My sister has a minor disability so I helped her complete her application and paid a $300 security deposit on August 10 2022 for a unit that showed available early Sept 2022. After two weeks, she had not received so much as a phone call about her application, reached out to them several times no answer. She finally decided to go with another property so we reached out to the property to have the Security Deposit refunded, this time a young woman answered the phone I explained the situation and was told that it would be 45 days before a refund would be issued. Now this sounded crazy to me considering that a Security deposit is to secure the rental unit for move in, and there was no disclosure stating that it was a 45 day turn around. On or around Sept 9th we get a call from the leasing office stating that my sister was scheduled for move in but that the unit actually wasn't available and that the system glitched in showing it available which meant that we paid a security deposit on a unit that was already occupied. I explained to her that we had already reached out for a refund and asked is she could update me on the status to which she replied that they had sent the refund information to their Reginal Department for processing. IT IS NOW JANUARY 30th A NEW YEAR AND STILL NO REFUND RECEIVED. Reached out to try to speak with someone and the voicemail box is full, which says to me that the number of complaints has exceeded the voicemail capacity. This is beyond bad business, and its stealing.
Dinetra the new property manger has been a nightmare since she took over in November…. I’ve to the office several times to complain about several issues from neighbors being loud to dog droppings on or around my balcony. Parking is very limited so for the past year I’ve been parking in handicap she even called the police and got me a ticket without warning. I also asked them several times about a call box in the building I live because there isn’t one and I have to always come all the way outside to get my guest. The only good thing about this complex is the location. I will be calling Tanisha at corporate if things don’t change.
Great apartments right in the heart of uptown Charlotte. Close to Johnson and Whales and Gateway Village. Lots to do within walking distance. Property is a little older, but much more affordable than most places in the city. Great value!
Wouldn’t recommend anyone to move here. Been here for years , the leasing office switches staff every 4-6 months. Elevator access never works . Building is not kept up as it should. Very unprofessional . I onced called this place home and now it’s a nightmare . Save your MONEY AND YOUR TIME!!
1st night at the apartment with water damage.. On October 10-Thursday, Ten 05 Apartments hired HVAC company to fix our AC unit and they tripped the water sprinkler. The problem caused the sprinkler to flood the apartment with water. There was water all over the kitchen, living room, bedrooms and closest. Thank God! Everyone is okay and there was no major damage to the apartment. The apartment below us received more water damage. The water damage ruined the carpet and floor. We had other damage in the apartment. After speaking to Insurance company and rep from Hallkeen properties. They said our apartment was livable and no need to move out of the apartment. I did not receive an apology or phone call for follow up. I told both groups that the place is not livable. Below are pictures of the damage. The electricity and water were out most of the day; everything turned back on at night. Some of the food spoiled in the kitchen. You can smell the dirty carpets. There is water damage behind the oven.  When you step on the floor, you can feel mush beneath the wood/carpet. The insurance company brought fans to decrease the water damager and dry out the floors. But here’s the thing, nobody is trying to see if were okay or if there is anything else, they can do to help. I lost my apartment and I HAVE to deal with problems. I HAVE to wake up the next morning and see the damage. I HAVE to wait for them to fix the floors. I HAVE to clean and put everything back in order. The insurance people and property management get to go home eat with their family and enjoy nice evening in their living room. The way they handle the situation, its not right. You have to treat people better. As of today, they didn’t offer to compensate for any damages. I didn’t receive an offer to stay at new location the first night. I’m starting to think this place does not care about its residents.
Do not waste your time putting in an application like I unfortunately did. After excessive calling & leaving emails with no response, I was forced to go to the apartments just for the staff to tell me they haven’t reviewed my application, they apologized & assured my husband & I that they would call us within 7 business days. Well that was 1 month ago, we didn’t receive a call & I’ve lost count of how many voicemails I’ve left & Emails I’ve sent. They definitely need new management this place lacks professionalism. Do not waste your time !! EDIT ; I am so grateful. Throughout the entirety of our visit, multiple residents came to the front door to complain about roaches & asked to be added to the list for pest control. The office manager proceeded to gossip about a resident after the resident left. The lack of professionalism was distasteful & I am beyond grateful for the inconsistency from the staff because I would never want this to be a place I call home.
I been a resident for over 2 years. Ten 05 apartments does not want to spend the money on the up keep of the building. The place has gone down hill. Attached is pictures of what residents see when they walk in. When bringing guest over its disgusting. When you get on the resident elevator it looks like a warehouse elevator. You have conduit above you, dirty concrete floors. The cleaning crew only works from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. So if the elevators get nasty over the weekend, they wont be clean until Monday. The main entrance stairs to the leasing office are dangerous after they rain. The previous owners painted the stairwell so many types with outdoor paints that is makes it slippery. The best solution would have been to have a brick texture or concrete on the stairs. The apartments gym needs to be expanded and replaced with new machines. There is over 200 apartments on site and you only have 2 treadmills and workout machine with missing pins. In the summer time, the air condition is not cold enough to cool the workout room. Hopefully this message is seen by management and they can come up with a solution. - your friend, Erica.
Great location but clearly it’s cheaper here for a reason. … water pressure is so low I can’t wash my face in either sink…. I have a company car that I can’t park on the property unless I use my visitor pass. The call box doesn’t work so if you leave your key in your apartment you can’t get in. The people in the office started off so nice and helpful but once you move everything changes. They don’t answer the phone at all . I left a positive review and I’m sorry I had to change it . When I ask for a day pass they say they won’t do it. This review I will leave the property manger and leasing consultants name out of it but if this continues that will cha he as well
