Amazing bread! They sell at my local Farmer's Market and I always try my best to swing buy to get a loaf of their multi-grain or white bread. Absolutely delicious for grilled cheese, PB&Js, or even just a morning piece of toast. Highly recommend.
The bakery supports The General Muir, Yalla and all the other endeavors. Early in the mornings you can walk by to see the bakers working. In addition, Monday to Friday, they open a pop up during the lunch hour with a seasonal rotating menu.
I went here on the off chance they were open since previously website and voicemail said they wouldn't be on Tuesdays. So glad I did! Was in and out fairly quick and the food was delicious! I had the Tomato Bisque & Asiago Cheese bread. Everything was warm and cozy. It felt like a warm hug. I will definitely be back, especially while we're in this sort of wintery season.
THIS BREAD MAKES MY LIFE MUCH BETTER. I follow the low fodmap diet due to IBS and since sourdough is easier to digest, it's the one bread I can eat zero digestive issues eating your bread. It means a lot to me that it's all natural. I do not go a day without eating TGM bread. I buy it at Grant Park Farmers market or order ahead a day and pick up at their location across from the CDC. Take from freezer, pop a slice in the toaster each morning, with butter or almond butter; the best! Thank you for making this sourdough bread, don't ever stop. I've updated this review and their bread has changed my life for the better, still. Only now I need to buy more cause my son loves it too. I buy 4 loaves at at time and freeze til ready to eat.
It's rare that you'd get anything from one of Chef Ginsberg's many places that you won't thoroughly enjoy. In other words, if you like soup & bread, you'll like this place.
Slightly pricy but excellent sandwiches and soups. TGM's bread is divine and makes this a very worth while lunch stop
Very disappointed! I bought a loaf of bread at the Farmers Market from them and after 2 days the bread was covered in mold! I didn’t get a chance to eat a single slice of bread. I showed it to them and they refused to replace it. I guess I’ll be buying more croissants from the little tart bake shop instead. You have a good product, but no customer service. What a shame!
Soup was lukewarm at best. Good flavor. Good bread. Staff talked over me several times.
The tomato bisque at lunch is easily the best in the city. Also the Hawaiian rolls are fantastic when available.
The bread and the customer service were amazing!
