Absolutely amazing! You can learn so much about the history of pigeons dating back thousands of years ago up to now. I was excited to see the Passenger Pigeon on display as well. There is so many different works of art, sculptures, and taxidermy. The library is full of historic information and diaries. The artifacts are super cool to view. This is definitely a great place to visit and even spend some time reading the books, I highly recommend visiting here and of course getting to meet with the live pigeons. They're so soo cute
There’s a lot to learn about a simple bird. This museum is small, but jam packed with information and knowledge. My wife and I went there for our anniversary. It was worth the trip. On top of that, we got to pet some of the pigeons they had. Thankfully the birds were kept indoors and away from the heat.
This place was small and only a few rooms. But the information on the history about pigeons and how they were used in delivering news is very detailed in the museum. Got to learn so much about these beautiful birds. They even have some on display to talk too. But stay far away from slappy. He isn't very nice.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree

The American Pigeon Museum is a wonderful place to visit. It's free admission though I highly encourage donating if you visit for a brief and very well curated experience. The museum is clean, brightly lit, and well organized into just three major rooms, but it documents a lot of important moments in the history of this surprisingly influential bird. While it feels tucked away in the woods, it's a very short ways from the science museum if you're trying to assemble an education day.
This was an unexpected gem in Oklahoma City. We thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of pigeons. I would definitely recommend this museum to anybody who is a war buff, nature enthusiast, or history fan. The only thing that I would change would be better caging and display of the live pigeons. The tiny cages sitting out against the building in direct sunlight did not seem adequate.
This place is awesome! Free make a donation amazing volunteer staff. We got to hold pigeons and there is so much to see. Absolutely incredible.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Art meets history in this small beautifully curated museum. So much information and interest in this hidden gem. This museum is visually captivating with it's collection of artifacts and art pieces. To say the staff is friendly is an understatement. Great destination for people of all ages. My teenage daughter and I agreed that the pigeon whistles display was our favorite, and I was impressed with the collection of racing timers. This place does not disappoint!
Fantastic museum that really highlights how pigeons have served in the military and their accomplishments. Clean building, friendly staff, and adorable pigeons. Pigeons were brought inside because of the rain and soon transported back to their home, normal cages are much larger. Excellent museum overall that is a great place for any pigeon or military enthusiast.
This is a very cool place to visit and learn about the American Pigeon. What a great unique place to spend some time with your children. Don't miss this OKC gem.
