Found this place by accident looking for a great dinner. All expectations were met and then we realized we were eating in a retired fire station. As a retired fire fighter, our appreciation is enhanced even more. We then walked around and saw all the great fire art and artifacts throughout. Staff and wait staff are attentive and helpful. The drinks a creative and tasty. All of our meals were great. The only constructive criticism I can add is the portion on the pork loin meal was a bit small with only about a 1/2” loin cut. The salmon, seafood and salad plate were all sized appropriately. The flavors were excellent and we will definitely return in the future. Thanks again for a great experience. I also must add both the appetizers and desserts were size appropriate, tasty and flavor friendly.
I love this place. It was our first time here and everything was amazing. The atmosphere is really chill, cozy and just lovely. The staff is really friendly and our service was fantastic. We ordered the salmon deviled eggs and smoked whitefish dip for appetizers, and the arugula risotto which was incredible, house cured pork loin, and roast otto farm chicken. Everything was amazingly good. We had a really great experience and we are already looking forward to going back.
Absolutely fantastic restaurant. Beautiful decor, amazing staff and really good food. Couple of dishes were a bit bland lions mane mushrooms, coconut cream pie but over all highly recommended. You NEED to get the deviled eggs and, at this time, the peaches and cream dessert!
*Food review only* I didn’t stay in the hotel just came for Sunday brunch. The place is beautiful on the inside, wonderful for pictures and photo ops. Now that that’s out the way. The menu is small!! They offer like 5 options. They don’t even do a mimosa flight or crafes. A ambiance of this caliber should offer options. The food was just okay. Service was bleak, barely came by. Overall, not impressed and won’t be back nor recommend.
I really loved the food here. Reservations are required. I ordered everything the server suggested and I had one of the best meals I have ever tasted. Great drinks, amazing food, great desert, friendly staff, good music and a relaxing atmosphere. This may be my new favorite restaurant.
My husband and I went on a double date here and since we are foodies we thought we'd try our first blind meal! We paid a flat price of $150 per person I believe and were given a variety of items on the menu along with some off the menu items. Some of the pictures below are: raw oyster with tomato juice and sun choke stunning, devilled eggs flavourful, salad with a tarragon dressing and fennel, sunflower tomato fennel salad, two pastas, crispy salmon disappointed we only had three small pieces instead of four - we definitely paid the price to cover our portion, shishito peppers, a large fish tail can't recall the fish, oops and a chocolate cake with berry compote and fresh fruit. We enjoyed every dish but as we are big eaters we were all a bit hungry afterwards. We love the harvest fresh menu but all four of us are not fennel lovers so the salads fell a bit flat as there is no overpowering the taste of freshly picked fennel. Overall, a fun experience and would be up for it another time! 3.5 stars.
Great service! Our appetizers and dinners were outstanding. We had been wanting to try Apparatus Room for many years now and we are so glad we finally did. It was better than expected. Highly recommend!
Finally visited the Apparatus Room during a snow day and it was great! The ambiance was great. Very old school meets modern. The hostess let me and my man push 2 tables together to sit together in a booth, which was nice. Our waiter Marvin had a great personality, was very attentive and even gave us 2 champagne glasses at the end of our meal! We got the mushroom soups delicious!, salmon with caramelized sauce excellent! and hot fudge dessert with chocolate covered cherries mouth watering! Parking: The valet was $16 so we opted to park on the street a block down…only $3!
Great breakfast at Apparatus Room last Saturday. Service was excellent. Great coffee great food. Awesome historical venue. I love how they have the 3 fire polls and the giant old doors where the fire trucks used to enter and exit.
Go here for flavor not fullness. All of the food we ordered tasted delicious and unique, but it is a small plate restaurant. Excellent atmosphere and very kind staff so it's great for a taste experience!
