@ The Barre - Pilates Barre & Fitness Studio

I started taking classes/practicing pilates At The Barre with Kristy just over 2 years ago, after being in a car accident a year earlier, and I quickly became obsessed! There is something for everyone (every-body, age, fitness level etc.) here, whether you are looking for pilates (mat/reformer/cardio tramp classes) or barre classes. The atmosphere in the studio is fun and inviting, and truly is a judgement free zone. I love coming here, not just for the awesome workout (it might look dainty..but if it makes Sylvester Stallone sweat that should tell you something!), but the mental side to pilates keeps me grounded. Also -- location right off of Richmond Row, free parking, daytime/nighttime weekday and Saturday classes are HUGE bonuses!

Best place to practice pilates in London! I love how small the class is, 6 people per class. The small size class is a great opportunity for me to learn the correct technique, after 5-6 classes you can really feel the difference in your body and physical strength. I have tried different types of workout and I box as well but so far pilates is the best full body workout. I find it really focused, it really fires all the muscles in your body, not only the superficial muscles but also the deep muscles and this is the difference between pilates and resistance training. Kristy, the instructor at At the barre is very knowledgeable and dedicated to her clients so I definitely recommend this studio:)
