Used to be a great local business with friendly and knowledgeable staff. It have gone downhill considerably with terrible customer service and monopolistic practices. This company sources most of their products through MoreFlavor Ltd, who sources grain, hops and other basic supplies through a national supplier. Basic grains, hops and general supplies direct from MoreFlavor is 30%+ less then Brewmeisters. The markup Brewmeister applies on 'specialty' gains is well in excess of 100% and MoreBeer is located within an hour of the greater Sacramento area, where Brewmeister operates. As an example, a 50lb sack of grain costs $30 through MoreBeer, $50 through Brewmeister. You are much better off using any of the available online competition for your homebrew needs and won't have to deal with one of their rude employees.

Great customer service! I ordered a kit online, and it was damaged in shipping (grain explosion!) - I let them know and got a response within a few hours that they were not satisfied until I was satisfied. They earned a lifelong customer here for as long as I continue to brew! Thanks Erik and your brew crew! Simply outstanding!

Great place to get wine making supplies in town. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

I was expecting something slightly different but overall my experience was great. Very friendly and more than willing to share his knowledge. Only complaint I have is I purchased yeast and going on three days with no activity. but it happens. I'll be picking up another one today hopefully
