In the busy west village with most other well known places booked out, stumbled upon this cute little restaurant serving primarily a plant based menu. And wow what a great surprise - beautiful aesthetics, simple classy and healthy menu. Fresh juice and detox drinks were a hit in our group. Their pea hummus is a must try. All the dishes were really good except the waffles. The cream and the strawberry compote just didn’t go along well. Butchers bowl, best egg sandwich, and crab cake sandwich were well enjoyed by the group. I would highly recommend.
Great spot for a laid back brunch! Healthy food, and a good amount of options. Service was quite fast too. Nice atmosphere and decor. Was a bit disappointed with the bread plate we got as a starter. Pastries were brought out cold and dry, and when we asked to take them away the jam and butter was just dumped on top of them so that it smeared all over the to go box and the pastries.
Really enjoyed The Butcher's daughter. The food was pretty good. Wasn't a fan of the bacon strips. Would never get those again. They literally look like fruit leather but tasted very bland. The waffle was a little chewy but I guess that's fine. Was not amazed by the scone. It was very dry and did not taste like anything. Was very disappointed as it was to have herbs and spinach in it if I remember correctly but tasted nothing like it's contents. The salad that came on the side of one of the dishes was overly sour. Service was lacking as we were barely looked at upon arrival and kinda dismissed to an open table. The seating was nice out on the sidewalk. The seats are very close together so close that you can bump into other people if you are paying attention. Besides that the atmosphere was very nice and calm. Having a seat with a view of the inside of the restaurant was pleasing as the inside has many plants and the vibe is very calm inside. Vegetarian options: Because it's a vegan place you lost definitely will find vegetarian options. Dietary restrictions: There are GF options available. But not a ton. Parking: Would not suggest driving here. Parking is very limited as we walked from a far distance as well as saw others take Ubers to the destination. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible for outside seating only.
Service and atmosphere was good and fast. But omg idk what this cauliflower mush is. It tastes weird and it's soggy. The chips are stale and completely unseasoned The burger is dry. The pad thai was the only thing slightly edible. But it was overpoweringly lemon flavored. Maybe dine in will be a different experience. Hopefully an edible one. But the take out is not it. Don't waste ur time or money
TLDR: overpriced and predictable vegan food experienced by two vegan foodies traveling the world. Atmosphere: cute but nothing to write home about. It is very instagram, typical blogger / influencer, add a filter style. Service: average, but no one was particularly kind or interested. I saw multiple parties who looked at each other like, "really, why are they so distant?" Food: the big disappointment for the price. It would have been 3 stars had it not been for the insane prices even for NYC. The "loaded" banana bread is literally two slices of banana bread with some icing and nibs for $14. There are NYC vegan bakeries selling banana bread for $3-4 and the extra $10 is for what? Icing and half a banana that was brûléed? The bread was dry, and the icing was too sweet. It didn't feel like a breakfast meal but a heavy dessert. The $22+ butcher's bowl was literally just overbaked, unseasoned potatoes, pan seared with spinach, mushrooms, burnt crispy onions, and maybe two tablespoons of tofu scramble that cost $4 extra. The harissa aioli is where 90% of the flavor came from, and had I not ordered their tomato bisque soup, it would have been so boring. The tomato soup was solidly good and well seasoned. It was the only thing we liked, but again... $14 for a bowl of soup. When you spend $85 on brunch, you want to feel full, satisfied, and ready for the day. We left sad and wanting to take the subway to Flavortown because the Butcher's Daughter didn't seem to know where that place is. Vegetarian options: Vegan options Dietary restrictions: Vegan options
Great vegan restaurant in Manhattan. My husband is a big cheese fan and we ordered the cheese platter for an appitizer and he loved it. We also ordered the pea hummus for an appetizer. It was ok.. For our mains we ordered the pizza and butchers burger + potato wedges. The wedges were a little undercooked and could have been baked for longer. For drinks we had the alcoholic Kombucha...it wasn't good at all, not much flavour. Service was great as was the vibe of the restaurant, though when we sat inside I got bitten by a mosquito. They also cater to GF dietary requirements Dietary restrictions: Cater to vegan and GF dietary requirements
It's a really good place for vegan food. I loved their mocktails and elixir shots. Their burger was really good but the patty was falling apart and perhaps didn't bind well together. Really good service and we love their presentation.Food: 5/5
Couldn’t book the day before online so tried walking in and got a table outside which was a little chilly bit we were hungry! Food and service was all lovely.. love loved the juice taster! Only downside was a massive queue for the bathroom.. only 1 bathroom in the place and meant there was a long line taking up a lot of the inside!
Really great experience! Menu was on-point, and everything was so fresh and delicious. Particularly enjoyed their mocktail, very refreshing, and not too sweet. Was surprised to see that you can make the avocado toast into a Benedict, and they had real eggs although that was an add-on, but otherwise the menu was completely vegan. Absolutely loved the pea hummus and the roasted mushrooms & asparagus. Great vibe, friendly staff, great location.
This place is overhyped. The reataurant is really small and the tables hardly have any space. We had a reservation and yet were seated at a weird table stuck between 2-3 tables with hardly any space ỉn between. We odered Egg sandwich, butchers burger and blt sandwich. The egg sandwich was below average and we can get it at any deli for much lower price honestly. The blt sandwich was dry and didn’t come with any sides salads/fries. The burger was okay but nothing worth paying such exorbitant prices for such mediocre food and small portion sizes. The rose latte was good.I would not be visiting this place again.
