I got my keys this past Sunday to move in to a 1 bed. Mind you, these 1 bed rooms are not cheap compared to louisville average rent. Me and my mom went up to the room I was assigned and immediately the smell was overwhelming. After this disappointment, it took about 10 seconds for us to realize that the apartment was crawling with roaches- 20ish dead AND alive ones. the clubhouse ended up offering me 1 night in a hotel refunded after we waited around for about 30 minutes to finally speak with someone in management. I broke the lease, and have been without a place to live in a hotel for a few days now. The hallways were also disgusting and the bar stool given was very dirty. Of course this is all resolved because I was allowed to break the lease over this, but I think people should know what they’re getting into. it was a huge waste of my time and caused the first few days of classes to be really stressful. I am attaching a few pics of the roaches, but there are more. They were in the carpet too. I felt very disrespected that I was given hope for a safe and clean place to live and then was with full confidence given the keys to an apartment so blatantly dirty and infested.
Please believe the negative reviews. I am forever the optimist and wanted to believe these were the exceptions. They are absolutely the rule and not the exception. From our first contact with the Clubhouse staff it was nothing short of a disaster. In the lobby was an advertisement for a one bedroom for $929. The staff member said no its $999. On the Clubhouse website it was advertised at $989. And when we were approved for the apartment we were told the price was $1130. There is absolutely no ability to communicate with the leasing office. They will not respond to any phone calls, messages left, emails etc without constant effort on your part to get even the simplest answer. Our lease dates were incorrect on the lease from very start and they would not change the dates. Instead, insisting the dates were correct. The dates weren't off by days....they were incorrect by YEARS. Still a refusal to admit they made a mistake. Its ok to be wrong. Just admit it and fix the problem. Finally they just began deleting our access to the lease online, resident portal, and any and all information about a lease. Fortunately, I have many copies of the emails and inaccurate lease in my files as the need to retrieve them may arise in the future. Take your money somewhere else. You will thank me later.
Cannot wait till my lease is up. The pool has been closed all summer and now that it is finally opened again right before they close it for fall, it’s only open one or two if that! days a week. They shut off the water in the apartments without any notice! And now most of the first row parking spots are reserved for employees!!!! You have to pay $35 a month to park in the garage, and now you can’t even have front row parking. Oh and forgot about having guests over because there is no guest parking and the street parking is always full.
I've been here for 4 months now. It's disheartening to read so many negative reviews of this complex. I've encountered several issues and it has taken them a while to get some things fixed in the beginning but I'm also aware I'm only 1 of over 300 apartments and understand they can't stop working on another unit to just jump at my request. Instant gratification is not going to be an experience where you live and you aren't the only tenant unfortunately. I do agree the hallways are dirty but I also realize if you take care of your area and treat it with a tiny bit of respect maybe your neighbors will also. The marks are from the trash being taken from our apartments to the dumpster. Liquids are going to leak. I'm grateful someone takes my trash to the dumpster for me. I agree it's unsightly but what alternatives are there? Expecting every 1 of your neighbors to take their trash out daily themselves? That's how you get roaches. Because not everyone is going to take their trash out like they should :/ I don't know I guess I'm just not that put off by these things because I'm living in a living situation where I feel safe for the most part considering the vicinity to the interstate. The front office does the best they can given their situation. You can't expect to get 100% top notch service from employees that you may not be talking kindly to. I have had zero issues with any of them they are always kind and go out of their way to resolve my issues in a very timely fashion. Just remember you are not the only tenant in this complex and maybe that will help you put it in perspective more
I was a resident here for 4 YEARS! My last 2 years was a real piece of work! They switch new management every 5 months it seems like, they can never keep the same workers downstairs and talking to them is literally like talking to a brick wall. They all give you the same run around they literally don’t train them or anything I feel sorry that they get talked rudely too because management doesn’t do there job! I had been emailing them for WEEKS prior to them evicting me so I can pay them but no answer. But here I am 4 MONTHS LATER‼ Still NO answer! I have had to move back to my hometown because of them not answering CALLS OR EMAILS! I even have the manger numbers that I have been calling for 4 WEEKS straight now and still NO ANSWER ! I mean do they not want their money or what! I would NOT RECOMMEND living here as the management team is NOT the ONLY THING wrong with this place! The stairways and halls are always DISGUSTING AND FILTHY! The pool hasn’t been open allll summer and strict rules like we’re not all adults living here!
DO NOT MOVE HERE. When my daughter's lease was up she received an email stating if she moved out early her rent would be prorated. She paid the amount she was given, vacated the property on the date and now 2 months later we are receiving a statement for the full month of rent along with old electricity bills which were paid through Simplebill. We have presented documentation for all of this and no one will respond or try to resolve the issue. We have left numerous messages and emails with no response. The office staff is no help and no one ever answers the phone. What a nightmare.
THIS APARTMENT WILL BE YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE. They have the most incompetent and disrespectful team. They have trash all over the hallways and nobody ever picks it up, if you complain about it; they tell you that nothing can be done because they don’t have cameras to see who made this mess! Richard, their manager is SUPER incompetent and is never able to address any of the issues. The entire team has the WORST attitude. They wont let you look at the apartments or the hallways before you sign your lease coz they wanna trap you into living in this miserable place. If you complain about your apartment being inhabitable they’ll ask you to pay $300 to move to another apartment. Look at the attached pictures. This has been the condition of the front of my door for past 6 months and they NEVER do anything!
Filthy property. So much trash from hallways, to parking structure, to staircases. Property never follows through with what they say. Maintenance says they fix things and never show up to fix them. Property management doesn’t care about the tenants rather just filling apartments. Pet waste is ALL over the property. Left to dry up and petrify or get stepped on in stairs, hallways, and sidewalks. Printer in computer lab is frequently out of paper and/or toner. There’s more and hopefully you don’t rent here to learn what those things are.
I was very excited to move into The Clubhouse for another year at UofL but I had a rude awakening on move-in day. These pictures are of the hallways and stairwell leading to my room. I am embarrassed to have guests or family members visit and I have to hold my breath anytime I leave or come home. I have heard several people complaining and I know of people who have contacted management about these issues but they are yet to be resolved. I pay quit a bit to live here and I think that it is more than understandable for me to expect a clean environment. The least they could do is pressure wash.
Terrible communication from the leasing office. After moving out, I received a bill for charges that don't belong to me. However, I can't get anyone to return my calls or emails. I've been trying to get in touch with someone for 4 months with no luck.
