I came to this firm and spoke with David Daugherty to help take care of a pretty bad reckless speeding ticket. I was really stressed out and worried with this being my first ticket, but David explained everything smoothly and made everything easy to understand. In the end, David was able to get the ticket dismissed, and all according to plan. As a person, David was very reasonable, and the way things were handled really helped me feel calm and relaxed throughout the whole process. Would highly recommend.

The best law firm I have had the pleasure working with. Not only are they understanding but are fierce and extremely intelligent. They know exactly what to do and how to handle your case. I would recommend this law firm for any family court issue. Kate Daugherty did a great job and continues to do a great job with my custody case. Patience is golden and requires a strong attorney to handle it. I thank her for everything she has done for our family.

Michael Daughtery did an incredible job with my divorce and custody case. I really appreciated his attention to detail and common sense approach in preparing my case and representing me in court. Michael was always very clear on what I could expect which made it much easier to go through the difficult trial process. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great family law lawyer.

I strongly urge you to consider a different law firm if you need guidance and representation for custody. I was shuffled through multiple lawyers at this firm and none of them were the least bit dedicated to my case. If they didn't have time for my case, I should have been made aware. I regretfully ignored my instincts and let them continue representing me. My child will suffer now because of their lack of attention to my case. However, they blamed my poor experience on "kangaroo court". I cannot recommend this firm. You will see that the firm has responded below. Their response was posted after several attempts from Mike and Kim to remove my original review. As someone who has never needed nor had a lawyer before, I put full trust in Kim and later Mike to guide me and properly represent me. It is my opinion that they completely fell short. But to elaborate on what is undeniably factual - I had no qualm with Kim taking maternal leave and having her husband take over, but the pair completely missed a scheduled court appointment. I was left sobbing in their firm's office as another employee tried to assist. A last minute decision was made to have Mike's father reschedule my court appointment. You'll also see that they mention my son a few times - I don't have a son, so again, I can see their level of attention to my case. Their response saddens me more as it suggests a lack of professional ethics.

David is an outstanding attorney and extremely professional. He knows the law and the Prince William court very well! He took his time to explain everything to me and went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. I can not recommend him enough. I looked into several other attorneys before choosing The Daugherty Law Firm. The other firms were all about the quick dollar. I got LOTS of solicitations from other offices in the area making big promises with scare and sales tactics. David's firm is caring and professional!
