The Grasshopper Mexican Restaurant and Bar

The Grasshopper has consistently great, fresh - made Mexican food, friendly service and wonderful margaritas. The menu has a wide variety, and they will make what you want to order. We're really pleased to have such a fun and popular dinner spot close- by. Regular customers, never disappointed.

Oh my good Lord if you've never eaten here you have to try it so good the chips are amazing. You get to eat the chips while you wait for your food I ate 3 baskets full. The food is such Rich good Mexican food you will love it.

Hidden behind an ugly plane exterior that would fit more with the Goodwill across the street then a good Mexican restaurant is the grasshopper. It is so unassuming and smells so much of Tex Mex, that I have never been there for 5 years. Well I admit a mistake. The food was great the service good the even rushed it for us as we were going out after work. The portions will Lodge they threw bundles of chips and salsa add us and the young waitresses had a great sense of humor which is refreshing. We checked the bill because we thought it was wrong no, it's just in expensive. Check it out. Don't expect any quiet and any attempt to speak to your fellow Mexican restaurant fans, will fail. I guess this is modern Mexican food. The guitars are gone. as is Romance.

The margaritas were good. But I ordered chicken and cheese nachos and received chips with melted cheddar cheese with what looked and tasted like canned chicken underneath. We waited a while for our server to come back and had to ask her for suitable cheese for these $9 nachos. Of course she charged us extra for the cheese to put on my nachos...the queso wasn’t very good either. We were excited about this place but were ultimately very disappointed. Attached is a picture of the half we didn’t eat. Oh and this was a large order of the nachos.. Oh and they don’t have hot sauce here either. Which is strange for a Mexican restaurant.

We have been wanting to try this place because we love Mexican and happy to say we finally did. It was our first time here and our waitress Lindsay suggested that we try the Grasshopper margaritas as they were on special, we drank four they were delicious! When we asked what we should order for dinner she urged us to try the fajitas (also a Friday special). I do not want to complain but I must say that my husband is allergic to onions so our waitress told us we could order his Fajitas with no onions which we did. She was with another table when a girl with a British accent who appeared to be a manager delivered our food and his fajitas had onions in them. We explained to her that we had asked for no onions and she got a bit of an attitude like it was an inconvenience for her to have his food remade. Thankfully our server must have heard us and left her other table and took care of the issue immediately and had them remade with no onions, they were were very good! I would have given this place five stars if not for the rude manager but the food and drinks were great as was our waitress! She informed us that she works every Friday night and we will definitely be returning!
