The Hare and Hound

Really like this place, fine pub atmosphere, great service. Only reason this didn't get 5-stars is the golden calamari was a bit stringy-thin and over battered and my friend ordered the beef Shepard's pie and each of her first three bites had either bone or gristle. She got the fish & chips and enjoyed that. I got the iceberg wedge & hamburger steak and the burger was cooked perfectly. Will def be back, but not for the calimari or beef pie!

Food was delicious! The selection of alcohol is pretty extensive also. All staff interactions were pleasant and wait staff did an especially good job. Initial wait for table was supposed to be about 15 minutes, but it felt like less. Cool ambiance inside bar and restaurant area. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area.

Stopped in for a late lunch after a business associate recommendation. The lunch crowd rush was finished, so we had no wait for a table. The server was friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable about menu options. She was attentive to keeping our glasses filled and checking to see if our food was to our liking. The food was tasty and filling and comparable in price to other local establishments. We would definitely make a return visit if in the area.

Most definitely will eat here again. The fried cheesecake is to die for! And the honey child is the best chicken salad sandwich I've ever eaten.

The Hare and The Hound is a restaurant unique in its own right in the middle of downtown Landrum it attracts crowds from all over and regularly draws the locals great food friendly staff beautiful colors remarkably decorated with a full bar you can eat and drink and enjoy yourself at a reasonable price. Once you're done eating you can take a nice stroll anywhere in town because you're right in the center of town perfect location just hard to find parking.
