This place has horrible management. My daughter lives here and has black mold in her vents heat and water damage to her ceiling. We have contacted Maintenance, management and NP Dodge and no one has contacted us back. We finally sent a certified letter out today letting them know we are contacting the Omaha Housing authority to get this taken care of. I will be contacting Mike McNight in the Morning
Since the new management this place has went down hill. From loud neighbors to the hallaways smelling like weed everyday. The office will try to ignore your calls and they will not care about your requests. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. ever since Nora and Simone left this place has gone sooooooo down hill. The new management is horrendous. Black mold, water damage, bats, bugs, horrible staff that laughs at tenants who are just trying to have a safe environment for their family. Disgusting. All they’ve done is paint over the mold and say they’ll test it but never do. This place is a HAZARD!
Horrible. That is the only word to describe The Heights. I was moved into my apartment for like 4 months and my kitchen sink over flowed over 3 times in less than 5 days. They sent someone out to fix it multiple times and the last time they found a huge piece of glass in the plumping and tried to tell me it was from one of my shot glasses even though none of mine had broke. I was beyond mad. The AC doesn't work and I had to buy multiple fans to cool down the rooms. They also come off very rude in emails and I can truly say that they made my first time moving out horrible.
I have lived here over a year and have had nothing but great experience. I have only had to call for maintenance couple times and they were always there the same day. I have never had to wait for anything to get done. The office staff has always been great. I haven't had any problems with noise or neighbors. I don't know of any other complex that puts together activities for kids to do like Easter egg hunts and other activities. I would recommend this place to friends and family. It is a great place to live. Thank you to all the staff and all the hard work you do. I work at an apartment complex and it is not easy work. Thank you again!
I lived at the Heights for over two years and really didn't have any issues. It was a quiet nice place to live. I loved the Huge Master bedroom with two vanity areas and two walk in closets. My work orders were completed within a timely manner and they always left a slip inside to tell me what they did if I wasn't home. I felt like they were very fair at move out when I finally moved out to buy a house. Loved the location and the size of apartment for the money.
Living in this place was like living in a constant nightmare. In the 2 1/2 years my husband and I lived here: Our apartment flooded 3 times: One from a leaky toilet we had reported multiple times to maintenance that they never fixed, one from the upstairs air conditioning unit breaking and flooding into our apartment, and one from our upstairs neighbors’ bath tub overflowing. The first flood left 2 inches of water on our bedroom floor... they put a fan in there to dry out the carpet. The rest of the time we lived there, the apartment smelled like mold, but they still refused to replace the moldy carpeting and padding. The ceiling fan fell off the ceiling when our upstairs neighbors jumped too hard in just the right spot. It happened to fall on my husband’s head... he ended up with a concussion and stitches. The Heights claimed they were not liable even though the fixture had clearly been installed improperly. The cops visited our building on a nightly basis due to our upstairs neighbors excessive partying and constant fighting. Our building wreaked of cigarette smoke and weed from people smoking in the hallways. As a result, our apartment also constantly smelled like smoke. Our air conditioner broke in the middle of the summer. It took them nearly 2 weeks to finally fix it. The garages were plastered with hornets nests in the summer. Maintenance refused to do anything so garages were unusable without getting stung. I have never been so happy to move away from a place!
I have 2 children and my apartment building started smelling like Marijuana. I contacted the office more than twice advising this and it took some time for them to address the issue. When we finally found another home and told them we were moving out one of the reasons was the Marijuana smell they said the other tenant had already moved out. They do whatever to get money out of you.. offering us to pay for breaking the lease 2 months of rent $740 plus $545. We had 1 more month to go and decided this option was not even to consider? Might as well finish the lease.. the nerve to even offer that? Are they that dumb to think I was gonna pay over $1,500 VS the rent amount of $740? Glad I am out of there!
Had really no issues with living here. They were always very courteous and helpful. They let you know a package arrived in their office and the apartment complex itself is pretty quite and also spacious. They responded promptly about the trash situation and got a new company to do it. The only thing I wish they have is a little place to recycle.
I lived there for two years and the first year was great other than first getting the apartment and it was trashed and broken. But this past year has been horrible, terrible management, the maintenance orders take months to get fixed and overall they make ridiculous charges randomly to your account. The location is convenient but the apartment place itself is not worth it at all. I will never return and not recommend that terrible place to no one.
