The Historic Downtown Parking Facility

Convenient location and can always get a spot. They have increased their rates recently though. It's now $15 to park there which I personally think is a bit high. If it isn't a busy time, you can usually find a spot on the street for free. Facility is well maintained and secure. It's right across the road from the fort and George street so it's a good place to park and walk around historic st Augustine.

My initial rating was five stars. I must have been drunk or basking in thankful relief my home wasn't destroyed by hurricane Matthew or Irma. We parked our cars here during the last storm, and a curt attendant informed me rather abruptly that we couldn't park (to keep out cars safe from the HURRICANE!) until I believe 5:00PM. I was here at like 4:58 and the attendant dutifully requested $20 or whatever the standard fare is as for non-survivalist parking needs. Alas, I paid it so as not to reverse out of line and have to shamefully skull away while I contemplated the potential loss of my home. Not an exemplar of how to comport oneself in a disaster STA. Not at all.

You are definitely paying for convenience with this parking lot. At $15, it felts like a real tourist trap. i had to drive around quite a bit to get a park but eventually I got one on the top roof. The view up there was real nice. Then it felt like the elevator took 10 minutes to arrive by then I was making my way down the stairs.

We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday. Parking was expensive, but that seems to be a problem everywhere in St Augustine, assuming you can even find it. Pretty standard parking garage.

Convenient, but pricey. Parking spaces are plenty large enough for trucks too.
