The Icing Cakes

We have been customers since moving to Stafford, (7 years ago). Purchased cakes and cupcakes for many celebrations and weekly treats because my grandsons loved your "bakery" cupcakes (always so fresh and moist) and would not even sniff a grocery store or my homemade cupcakes. Recently the texture and taste of your cupcakes has declined and I have to say yesterday's purchase ($62.65) for our 7 year old grandson's class (taken in for his birthday treat) was terrible. The frosting especially the chocolate, but also the vanilla had a strange banana flavor and the texture was really dense and dry. Your staff is generally pretty friendly, anyone can have a bad day, but your service has declined as well. Disappointed.

The cupcakes and cakes are very good. But the staff is HORRIBLE! I have been buying cupcakes here for 4 years only because it’s convenient. Every time I go to order and my orders are not small and cheap the staff is rude. Even the owner is not kind. They did mess an order up once and had to fix it only after I showed them an email they sent me to prove I did not make the mistake. If you can look past the attitude and rudeness the flavor is good.

These cupcakes are nothing special.- very dry and lacking flavor. The brownie cupcake was by far the worst. I would give 3 stars for taste but the service is lacking and the prices are high considering what you get I gave it a two. I wanted to love this place since it's so close to my home (and who doesn't want to love adorable cupcakes and local business) but they just fall short

I am a repeat customer of The Icing for many years now and every year they provide me with a huge Holiday cake. They never fail to impress or deliver excellence. I cannot find any issues with them, their service, their product etc. The owner always works with me and finds a way to continually up her game. Just when i think the cake cant get any better, the flavors are always amazing. They deliver on time and there are never any issues wit the cake. The pink grapefruit and chocolate mint are always my favorites but there are so many others. Anyway, beware of cheap bakeries out there, The Icing is priced fair and you def get your money's worth.

Awesome tasting German chocolate cake! We’re from out of town visiting family on my wife’s birthday! Everyone though the wife’s cake was delicious! Very rich but not too sweet!
