The Jambalaya Shoppe Perkins

Came here at around 2:45pm to grab some food, place seemed deserted. Not just no customers inside, but no employees. We really have been wanting this place so we waited about 15 minutes for someone to finally come take our order. Food is decent, good thing we are decent people though because if the wrong person had gone in there when we did and were as alone as we were in the shop they would have been robbed blind. Found out later there were TWO employees in the kitchen just ignoring our existence while we joked about taking everything inside the store while there seemed to be no one in there.

Hands down best restaurant experience I've ever had. Chef Cameron is personable, accommodating, polite, overall fantastic dude. if you need a delicious, nutritious lunch, visit The Jambalaya Shoppe!

Worst boudin ever tasted. Too full of rice and too crumbly. (Chris's Specialty meats has a far superior product ). The sausage in chicken and sausage gumbo was very poor quality and the gumbo liquid was thin and didn't taste like it had been made with a proper roux..One would expect a dedicated Cajun restaurant to have excellent food ,using "high quality " ingredients. The red beans and rice had the same low quality tasting smoked sausage.

Best jambalaya I've had. Potato salad is good if You like sweet potato salad. Gumbo is great and prices are great
