I really enjoyed my time at the keep. They have very unique drinks. A really laid back and chill environment. EXCELLENT service and a really good wide selection of music playing while you relax and vibe out. Check out our YouTube channel Michigan streets and eats
Welcome to great drinks served just like they should be served - with care and done by professionals. A bit on the pricey side - but these are not your average bar drinks. So, well worth it.
My first time there. Felt really geniune and cozy. Can't believe I had never seen this place. Definitely be back. Lots of cool cocktails
Really cool bar great atmosphere and really cool interesting history
A speakeasy-ish bar that is pretty low key. Located right off Cadillac Square, this well kept secret serves up some great cocktails in a relaxing setting.
Nice and cozy bar. They had pretty unique cocktails and a lot of small tables. I really liked the atmosphere and would definitely come back. Im not sure how busy they are normally but i went during one of the colder nights in january and we had no issues finding seating or hearing each other over the music and the noise. Service was quick and i loved watching the bartenders make the drinks.
Finally had a chance to check this place out. Tough when they don't open until 5pm. Most everywhere else has happy hours from 3 to 7pm. Theirs is from just 5 to 7. Feels like a speak-easy from back in the day. Was obviously a cigar bar, not long ago. Today it's merely a cocktail bar, but with great ambiance. No food, whatsoever. Staff was awesome! Likely coming back tomorrow. What a cool venue.
A normal stopping point on my way home after work. The drinks are excellent and the staff are very personable. Things are a little pricey but for the quality its understandable. My favorite bar downtown for a great drink. Even got a history lesson on whiskey
I’ve been coming to this bar for a couple years now, and I can easily say it is one of the best bars to go to in Downtown Detroit! The environment is really cool! It makes you feel like you’re in a medieval castle or an old European pub. The cocktails are a bit on the pricey side, but they are worth it, and they also have a wide range of beers and other drinks they can make. This place also doesn’t get too crowded, even on the weekends, so it’s usually easy to find a place to sit. I would recommend this place to anyone who’s trying to find a good drinking spot Downtown!
Went on a Saturday around 10:30 pm. Moderately busy, yet only 2 bartenders. Took roughly 25 minutes to be waited on the first time, though the second round was faster. Ambience is nice; cocktails are good. Just sorely understaffed.
