The Kraken Gastropub

A great local hangout. A little hidden and not well known. But that’s what I love about it. A great beer selection. The smoked wings are delicious. So are the potstickers. I’ve never been here when it’s extremely crowded. They don’t open until late in the afternoon. I come for the beer but also because it’s so close to my house and not busy. I would and will come back again and again. I recommend this place to others. Come check it out.

Staff is excellent. Knowledgeable and friendly. Menu is limited but the food they serve is very good. Fish and chips was beautifully crispy and well seasoned. The tartar sauce has an extra kick that really enhances the fish. Unfortunately the available beers were limited the night we visited, with only 2 IPAs available on tap. There were some great beers still available. All in all a pleasant evening, give it a chance if you’re in the neighborhood.

Very limited menu but everything I've ever had at The Kraken has been great. They have always had my favorite beer on tap when I've been there New Holland's Dragon's Milk. We sat at the bar this visit and the bartender was very attentive to us. Will definitely be back again.

Went for a low key no fuss date night after a long few days - Kenya was our waitress and was super helpful, let us sample a beer if we weren't sure about ordering. Burgers were on point - fries were better than expected. Definitely making this a regular spot!

Went into this cold. My hubs and I have never been here before. It is small, dark, and intimate. Interesting art on the walls, great music playing. Only 11 items are on the menu. We had the Krakenburger, the fish and chips, and the chicken and veggie potstickers. All were delicious! The floor was a little sticky, but not a deal breaker. We will be returning!

Great place! The music is always on point, as well as all the different craft beer! The food here is amazing and the bartenders here are some of the best! Every time i come here I have a fantastic experience.

We used to make it out to the Kracken fairly often and enjoyed it a lot! We even had family meet ups there with my quirky extended family. Lately, the food is a little inconsistent, but I think that's because a lot of attention is on the new cocktail bar, which I'm excited to see soon!

I was extremely disappointed by their veggie spring rolls. They have a limited menu.. they should put forth the same effort towards every item offered. I happened to see some people at the bar eating the wings and burger and they looked delicious. If they put as little effort towards their burgers and wings as they do the spring rolls then their kitchen wouldn’t be open. Every time I go to the kraken I remember why I don’t go to the kraken by choice. 2 stars only because they had a somewhat decent selection of beer.

Cool vibe, friendly crowd. Bartender is slow as they come, same with restocking liquor. And PLEASE stop with the 1 ounce liquor pours. Drinks that are neat or on the rocks, by any standard bartending guideline on the planet is TWO OUNCES. Nearly impossible to know how to get into this place unless someone shows you; no signs or direction, tucked behind some buildings below grade.
