Recently moved out of the Local. My bad experience here has outweighed any good here. First of all, you can hear rats running through the walls at night. There is mold in corners of the place that has been there since we moved in. We had requested for them to come in after the hurricane to fix our carpet and other things that had gone moldy and had acquired a smell and they told us they would get to us after going through other resident concerns. It was a chaotic and stressful time, so we were patient, but they never came. The pool was so poorly kept and managed. It was either in construction or green with algae the entire time we were there which was 2 years. The times it would be open would be 9-5pm weekdays, which are working hours so we rarely ever got to use it anyways. Water shutoffs were so common I could expect one almost every month. The front gate wasn't even working for the last couple of months we were there. I couldn't even buzz myself in after locking myself out one time. The front door was also smashed in and it was never really addressed and they took forever to fix it. My parents could not believe the conditions we were living in anytime they came to visit and they were concerned for our safety. Lights kept breaking and turning back. There was a literal roach nest in one of the outlets and it seemed anything pest control did when they came was useless. Gemma in the office was lovely but other than that, I wouldn't recommend these apartments to anyone unless they fix all of the above.
Would NOT recommend staying here, random water shut offs every month. There’s always a problem. We have had no hot water for weeks, and they offer nothing to make up for it. This is inhumane to say the least and they don’t care. The property managers don’t listen to concerns until you get legal matters involved. You also don’t get to use the few amenities they have… they always have the pool area locked off and nothing else to offer.
I wish I can put less than one star. Not recommended for any one, company only care about the money, since the hurricane I've been asking them to fix the ceiling and no one care. I know the two ladies in the office are doing their job but the corporate don't care. It was no damage to my furniture from the hurricane but after they started working slowly on the roof every time it rains the ceiling start leaking every where. I'm so disappointed and never recommended it for any one it
I have lived here a little over a year and can honestly say it I like it and would recommend making this your home. When I first moved in they were completing construction on the outside... but there was no real inconvenience getting around the property. I think it's complete now but some areas either need be touched up or at least power washed. Some renovations were made on the inside as well prior or me moving in. I am very pleased with those and definitely love the new windows! I was concerned about the noise level... but so far hasn't been an issue. Even during Mardi-Gras, I was not easily disturbed by any of the activities. If I have had maintenance issues, they normally respond quickly. Even if I had to call multiple times, they responded the same day so I will give an A for effort. The laundry rooms and other apartment amenities are normally clean, accessible and working. The staff overall is helpful and tries to answer questions and or address concerns. Gema is a jewel! The only thing I would like to see would be a digital newsletter and or updates on what is taking place in the community. No random/general emails.
My experience with the application process was fantastic. Management went out of their way to show me the options they had for 1 bedroom apartments even though I did not make an appointment. When I was there, one of the residents had locked himself out of his apartment and management simply came to his aid despite being occupied with future residents. The application process was simple and they sat down and walked me through it while I was there. Also, some of the earlier comments may have mentioned that residents would be responsible for pest control. I specifically asked about that and the complex does take full responsibility for pest control. The only reason I didn't go with them is because I found a roommate and shifted my attention to a bigger 2 bedroom option elsewhere. Hope you find this helpful. Cheers!
We have lived here for four years and have very much enjoyed our stay. Kind neighbors, great location, easy access to New Orleans but also free from the crowds of tourism. The management has changed while we've lived here and both managements have been great. Like every apartment complex you'll have some issues that arise, but the staff and management sincerely listen and address your issues to make your apartment the best possible.
NO !! DO NOT MOVE TO THIS PLACE, under new management HORRIBLE the manager is disrespectful over the phone and to employees too, lived there almost 3 years ; this is not a pet friendly like they say , my 10 years old dog got killed by a car while I was not in my apartment due to their negligence and they never never did anything not even an apology, disgusting and on top of it RATS. GO somewhere else!! You will think if you pay 800 plus for one room, they will make sure to take care of tenants but at the end of the day they do what's convenient for them, I will never forgive then what they did to my dog. He was a good dog.
Have lived here for 15 months and now i regret renewing my lease because it has gotten worse not better. Have had problems with the sewer overflowing in my bathroom twice, 2 other bathroom floods twice, heating problems, cooling problems, ac leaking on the floor, noisy neighbors, bathtubs don't drain, faucet fell off in the shower... and NOW 24 hours with NO hot water and no management bothering to care about the water issue. So if all of that sounds like a dream come true, by all means, move in, i dare you.
Horrible experience. They have had random construction projects on and off. They are constantly coming into your apartment for random reasons, half the time without notice. They also tow cars at random. So it's basically a lottery every night of whose car will be towed. This is the worst place you could choose. AND NOT TO MENTION ITS TERRIBLY OVERPRICED.
Don't even think about moving this apartment the new management are mean and rude i have lived this apartment 4 years. my apartment was flooded all night from the bathtop they didnt change The carpet and the damege part, so they charged me $800 for the carpet and the damage part and they make me pay one month extra after i gave them 1 month notice before my leas expired the new lady don't treat you like a custom or residents
