The Loon Cafe

We did not plan to eat here, but everything else was closed on Saturday for lunch. So glad we wandered in! The food was incredible, the customer service was prompt, and everyone was very friendly. They have a really great patio that is typically in the shade.

Great location on the plaza. Good service, fresh tap beer. Walleye fingers were flaky and delicious. It was fun waiting outside with a Cold tap beer while waiting for the long line at the Palace Theater to get shorter. It’s the only way to fly!

Convenient place to grab lunch, or a light dinner in downtown Saint Paul. He sandwiches are good, the cocktails are fun get the Grape Ape, and the patio is a nice place to sit outside. The chili is a little too salty though.

Attentive staff, minor complaint dealt with promptly, restaurant spotlessly clean and polished, charming patio areas surrounded with flowers.

Had a lovely time with my friend for dinner, good food and cold brews! Did take a while to get our check after we were done but other than that had a great experience overall!

Quality food and always done right!! Great service as well. I'm a Loon Cafe fan!!

Enjoyed a Bloody Mary with beer chaser and the house nachos: wow! Tri-colored chips arranged arm round a bowl of Chile. We had veggie child instead of salsa. Plus the usual cheese atop shredded lettuce, we enjoyed the jalapeños, olives and onions. Big dollop of sour cream and another big scoop of guacamole.

Great Walleye sandwich!
