The Melting Pot

Went to the melting pot for the first time for my birthday. It was amazing! The service was amazing game our server Jacob was awesome he knew everything and answered all our questions. We will definitely be back.

We go here once a year for my girlfriends birthday and the food is amazing and the waitstaff is great. It is something we both look forward to and know it is going to be very special. Only issue, the past 2 years I have made reservations for a private room and both times they tried to seat us in a booth. The manager has come by to apologize but the same mistake 2 years in a row?? We will be back next year and see what happens.

I love this place. My husband surprised me with a romantic date night. Our server was very knowledgeable and had recommendations ready for us! Which as first timers we really enjoyed.

I am super disappointed in my experience. I have had this restaurant on my dining list for a couple years now and was sadly let down. It took nearly 15 min to get a server to the table after we had been seated. He wasn’t very welcoming when he did arrive. I almost wonder if our server was drunk or on drugs with the way he was acting. When we told him it was our first time to the Melting Pot he never took the time to explain the process or make any suggestions, he just pulled the menu out of our hands while we were looking at the wine menu said “most people do the 4 course meal”. He put the menu back on the table in front of us said “so did you want wine? You can decide what you want to eat while I get you your drinks”. So with no suggestions and not really understanding the process we made our choices. While refilling my glass of water he over shot my glass and spilt water and ice into my lap. The server next to us dropped a plate of sauces on the floor next to our booth and no one ever cleaned it up, so we had a mess next to our table most of the night. My husband ordered a beer to go with his dinner and our server forgot it. He had to ask for it twice and his dinner was almost gone before he ever brought it. When he brought us our check he hovered near our table and asked us 2 different times within 3 min if we were ready for him to take the check. We still had half the plate of dessert left. It was our anniversary dinner and I had hoped it would have been a better experience. The process was fun and I probably would have loved it had I had a better server but unfortunately I will probably never go back.

Every single time my husband and I eat here (with reservations from Open Table well in advance) we get stuck at a table in the bar! Apparently, they don’t think we are worthy of a real table when we celebrate special occasions, like our anniversary. I mean, no one even asked us if we are celebrating anything anyway, so whatever. We have visited MP’s all over the place with no problems but this one likes to be snotty and play table games. The food is great and that’s why we put up with it, but this location could really use a lesson in helping guests feel welcomed and having a lovely experience. The service is often slow and mediocre. Last night it took more than 10 minutes to even get a waiter to the table in the first place.
