One of my favorite places in GR. Pro Tip: use the no wait app to check in because this place is always busy, and for good reason. Their beers offer a wide selection that pleases beer drinkers across the board. The pizza is great and they offer a wide variety of novelty pizzas that aren’t a gimmick, they’re actually really good. Get a pizza flight and a beer flight and enjoy the great atmosphere. Because this place is busy frequently, the kitchen can get behind, but it’s worth the wait. I can imagine it’s hard to turn tables because it feels like a great place to hang out and just drink some beers even after you’re finished eating. Join their mug club! Prices and portion sizes are more than fair. If you haven’t been here, what the hell are you waiting for? Go!

The Mitten has great beer and great food. They've expanded the beer list from the half dozen they used to have when they first opened to a couple dozen. They have a wide variety of beer types, and there is something for everyone. Their pizza and sandwiches are very good and I'm never disappointed. The wait staff has even improved from what it used to be as well! I highly recommend this place.

Extremely let down by the service. I ordered a pizza and it turned out to be unexpectedly spicy. It was very clear that I wasn't happy with the outcome, and the waitress did not care to try and make my experience better. When I mentioned the pizza was too spicy for me, I received a response of "oh, okay." When I asked to get a new pizza to go since I was still very hungry and had a stomach from the spice, the waitress responded with "sure." I have been a waitress before and making recommendations and coming up with solutions is part of being a waitress and ensuring a positive customer experience. Also, I waitressed at a pizzeria and we did not charge for pizzas that did not meet the customers needs and wants. Feeling very angry I left paying for 2 pizzas when I could only eat one. If your looking for a fantastic pizza place, I would highly recommend Brick Road Pizza. They offer great vegan options and have a wonderful staff.... just tried the second pizza I ordered and I think it's important to note that it was nothing special...I have had much better Margarita pizzas. I could have replicated the pizza in a toaster oven because it lacked so much flavor. This place was honestly a waste of time and money. Very disappointed considering it's highly rated.

Because they are so busy it's a 50/50 chance for very very slow service. Lunch at 1130/12 is a good time to go. Food and beer are top notch. My wife and I LOVE getting their Big Show Pretzel. (Gigantic pretzel with 3 choices of dipping sauce perfect as an appetizer with a group) It's a go-to spot if your'e visiting Grand Rapids.

I've only been here a couple times but the pizza flights are REALLY good and the beer is also on point. 👌 I recommend giving the Mac and cheese (Mac Daddy) and barbecue (Hog Heaven) pizzas a try - they're better than you'd think!
