Looking for a healthier alternative? The Mixx is your fix!! My favorite was the Main Street Chop Chop salad. I recently dared to be bold and tried the Cobb Wrap. PHENOMENAL! One more "must try" on my "The Mixx Bucket List" is the Steak Blue. Forgive me if I didn't get the name right however, the guy that was enjoying that delicious looking sandwich a few feet away appeared to be having the time of his life! LOL!

The Plaza location surprisingly never has long lines. I get the Thai salmon salad or chicken sandwich on a pretzel bun. The food is always fresh. The half salad size is more than enough for one person in one setting. Pics included.Food: 5/5

Uncomfortable experience at 10 am. I was on my way home from some charity work and thought I would pick up a salad, as the options are good at the Mixx. I stepped up to the counter and they said they open in 20 minutes huh, the door wasn't locked. I thought, okay, guess I can wait for a bit. I was headed to the bathroom when a female worker stopped me with a rather impertinent, "Can I help you?" I said no. I thought, well, maybe I am underfoot while they are trying to get ready, and stepped outside to wait in their outdoor seating. I was quietly waiting outside when approached by some security, with a very condescending "Heeeey....how'r you doing over there?" with the tone of, what are you even doing here, are you homeless or something??. I said I am waiting. He said in a rather arrogant tone that seating is only for the Mixx well, duh!. I said, yes, I am waiting for them to open. "Looks like you can go in NOW!" he says as if I am fibbing about wanting to order for the use of a chair. Then he proceeds to go in and sit indoors at the Mixx and train another security person while NOT ordering. What an obnoxious start to the day. Nice food, but if you are a minute early be prepared to be treated like a vagrant.

Nice staff, good atmosphere. But I ordered the Baja steak bowl and it was amazingly bland. Im all for healthy food options, but healthy can also be flavorful. It's a bad sign when you have to go home and add something to takeout food to make it taste better. Especially paying almost $20 for a salad. To staff: season the food.

This is my family's favorite spot in Kansas City for lunch. It's basically "build your own salad," and they've got a good sandwich menu for non-salad people. They make the salad in front of you. Fun and good.

The food was REALLY good, fresh and was appealing to the eye! The service was good, they were pretty well staffed but were kept very busy. I do wish they would list the prices on the menu I didn’t see prices anyway. And I wish the dining area was a little bigger so that you had a little more room, but it’s a very clean, fairly comfortable and organized establishment. I look forward to going back and trying different items. Parking: We were able to park in the public library parking garage, which is covered and free! Just a short walk to the restaurant.

It was good. We're never been there before. I tried the street tacos and my husband had the club wrap. You order from a counter so it's like cafeteria style, but very good. It looks very nice in there. Quite a few tables to sit at. They have lots of options from bowls to salads and sandwiches.Food: 5/5

I loved my first experience at The Mixx! Great salads, quick and efficient ordering process. The vinaigrettes they had are amazing and truly make the difference. The service was spot on expect for a single employee that was a tad bit rude. Probs just a long day of work but still pretty noticeable. I love finding a new healthy spot! Definitely think they should open a store up in north of 152 near new NE cookingham and shopping! It would thrive and give the area a new healthy spot!!! Vegetarian options: Plenty of options and ability to customize your meal! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and dairy free options are available on their menu! You have the option to custom make a salad to fit your needs if the specialty are not for you. Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space to bring kiddos with a kid menu that would appeal to most children!
