Gorgeous rooms! Wonderful staff that made every interaction pleasant and welcoming! Fantastic location near everything with lovely Cafe and bar on site. The building is historic so the walls are a bit thin and don't fully keep out street noise or the sounds of neighbors, but earplugs are provided and we played white noise on our phone to help sleep, and it was perfect!
From the moment we drove up we were treated excellent. We used valet parking and were assisted with our luggage up to our room. Checkin was a dream. Manager and clerk were the best. It felt like we were family. Beautiful hotel that is top notch and knows how to treat customers. Our suite was immaculate and I am a very picky person. Kudos to the Manager and the entire staff. They are well trained and the best at what they do. We will definitely be staying here the next time we are in Kansas City.
Very happy with the hotel, it was clean and very nice. Our bed was comfortable and the room very spacious with nice views of the plaza. The bar in the basement is fun to sit at and relax. My wife and I ended up not even going to any local bars, we just enjoyed sitting down there especially the night they had live jazz. I was very happy with that! Only negative of the whole place is how noisey it is, cars sound like they are driving through your window but they do provide ear plugs so I'm sure it's a common complaint.
We stayed here for our anniversary in a one bedroom suite and had an amazing time. We had the romance package too which got us free wine, rose petals and free breakfast in bed. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly and always willing to help or get us what we needed. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious as well. The Marriot Bonvoy app made it easy to get in our room with checking in the app and a digital key with room number which allowed us to go straight to our room. We could also communicate with the front desk and request items needed all through the app. We walked to the plaza to shop since it’s right across the street. I’d highly recommend staying here. We will definitely stay again when we come back to KC.
The moment you walk into this hotel, you know you made the right choice. Staff is super courteous. The beautiful scent in the air was welcoming. The rooms were ample and in pristine condition. Their restaurant was clean and their breakfast was delicious.Rooms: 5/5
This is a relatively good old school type hotel with large comfortable rooms but everything is well-maintained and in good working order. Service and staff is very high caliber including the doorman and valet parking staff. There is a small bar and restaurant. So if you’d like a small field boutique hotel this is the place. And of course being a short straw from the plaza is a big plus
Stayed a night at the Raphael for a staycation anniversary trip. Just off the plaza course to lots of great restaurants also has a great restaurant on site. Rooms were great well cleaned and even had mini creamer with the in room coffee maker, more hotels should have that!Rooms: 5/5
We love staying at The Raphael. The property, rooms, restaurant, location are exceptional. When we made a last minute weekend getaway for our anniversary, Tracee went out of her way to make our short stay the perfect trip!
The Raphael is a charming boutique hotel on the Country Club Plaza. I chose this hotel for its reputation and for the spectacular views of the Plaza lights during the holiday season. Our stay was wonderful! Tracee at the front desk went out of her way to make this special birthday “staycation” amazing! The dinner and jazz the Brian Ruskin Trio at Chaz were both exceptional. We were greeted enthusiastically by the evening’s hostess, Melanie, who also took several photos of us in their festive entry. Jodi, our server, was welcoming and attentive throughout dinner. I highly recommend the sea bass. What a memorable two nights we had right in our own city! This may have to become an annual tradition!
Someone stole my identity and credit card number. They reserved a room at this hotel for 2 days under my name. I called while they were staying there and informed the hotel of what happened. They took my information down and did absolutely nothing. They allowed this person to check out and pay with my credit card. Bank is already involved, but they didn't try to stop this person at all.
