I will say that these new owners that took over after Vest have been doing a good job at taking care of the community. The previous owners did a lot of damage to this community and I feel like they're trying their best to heal. However, I haven't been able to take a decent shower in over 4 months due to the water issue. Ever since Vesta left they left the water temperature way up, literally been boiling coming out of the tap. When you take a shower and think you've found the right balance between hot and cold, the temperature swings wildly between melt your skin off hot, or bone chilling cold. It's honestly the most frustrating issue I've had to deal with so far. I've been here for 3 years and never had an issue with the water temperature like this. I keep telling them the solution to this is to TURN THE TEMP DOWN, but they don't seem to want to listen to me. Previously, to get a comfortable shower I'd turn the hot water all the way on and just the slightest bit of cold to balance it out. Now it seems like even if I have the cold water turned all the way on its not enough to counteract the extreme heat coming out of the tap. When the water pressure changes sometimes you won't get an even mix. So due to the cold being turned all the way on just to counteract the little bit of burning water coming in, you're left with skin melting hot water, or bone chilling water. Bottom line is you shouldn't expect to be scolded by hot water when just turning on the tap.
I have been a resident for almost two years now. I have had a fairly good time living here. My general needs are met by this new management team. The staff is extremely friendly and some know me by name. They hired a great security team and I have never felt safer than now. There will always be issues but this new team has been doing amazingly for fixing the problems the last company left. It's a tall order but they are doing what they can and I appreciate it.
I've had a really good experience working with the new management as a new resident. It's definitely an old building and things sometimes don't work, but I've found management/maintenance to be quick to respond. Views are amazing, residents and staff are friendly, and the location can't be beat—especially if you rely on public transportation, as it's literally across the street from the EMBARK transit center.
I have been here 25 years and I have read all the reviews on Google and most of them are about the previous management. we have a new owner/management team now and I must say they are doing a much better job! the best management team in the past 20 years they got this property in a mess from the previous owners but they have been working hard at repairing everything that was broken down: elevators, heat and air & plumbing etc. I am a very happy resident at the regency tower apartments downtown OKC - great place to be!!
Quite literally the worst place to live in okc. The view gets old real fast. Elevators, heated water and ac constantly breaks down at least once every month, it sometimes takes 30 mins to get an elevator. Problems with fire alarms malfunctioning result in you waking up with alarms blaring at 3AM for no reason. Rent is cheaper at the start but gets hiked very quick once you have to renew your lease. Problems with homeless people bothering you while you wait outside the building. Take my advice after living here for 3 years and look elsewhere if you value your peace of mind.
I’ve lived here since November. I liked it at first but not so much anymore. The elevators are awful, wait times up to 10 minutes and often we have to wait so long that there are too many people and you’re forced to wait longer. Was told when I moved in that I was placed on a waiting list for a parking space, that turned out to be false so I just got put on the list last month. Tried to pay my rent this month and the system is saying the debit card I have used for every payment is now a credit card and I have to pay a $22 fee to process that. I reached out to the office and they’ve been no help. My calls and e-mails have gone unanswered. Will not renew but you get what you pay for.
Absolute nightmare! WOULD RATHER BE HOMELESS than being here. Everything is outdated and falling apart. elevators always breaking down. Sewage backup and plumbing disasters. Rent goes missing after early payment. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else even if you had to sleep in your car. The views this place offers is not worth the headache!
Great apartment! Moving in was easy! My view is amazing of the city! I love living in a condo style place! Erin and Lori answered my questions during move in!!
Disgusting building and terrible management. Elevators always broken. Maintenance is impossible to get a hold off. Garage always trashed and smelly. Mold visible throughout. Carpet smell in hallway make you puke. What a shame for the location and views but it is not worth a penny a month.
Current resident unfortunately! I've lived here for a year and a half, and would like any potential residents to know what to expect. It's a 1964 building that's showing age, constant plumbing issues, elevators down frequently, and mediocre management. There isn't anything nice or luxurious about the place except the view. They rattle-can spray painted the tile tub surround, and I went 2 months without HVAC in the bedroom but the work order was "completed* save your time and money, rent elsewhere
