My best friend and I stayed here to go on a quick little trip. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful and very kind. The location of the hotel is very convenient near a lot of things to do. Room service dinner and breakfast was excellent! We didn't get to explore a ton of the hotel as our stay was short, but the lobby was comfortable and it also had a lobby bar. The entrance to the restaurant was also convenient, the doors were right next to the entrance to the hotel. My only complaint is how the walls in this hotel are pretty thin and the bed was just standard. The pillows were way too soft for my liking even with two but overall very comfortable. This hotel isn't one I'd usually stay at since it is more on the pricey side, but our relaxing stay was definitely very worth it.
Service levels are dropping everywhere. Everyone has experienced some of the lowest customer service levels in history. Not at the Ritz Boston. My family and I just stayed there and the personal service they offer is outstanding. They made our family trip perfect by the level attention and service they provided us throughout our stay. We will be back to this property several times this year just because of the outstanding service.
Amazing location! We stayed in two executive one-bedroom suites. The rooms were big and they had two bathrooms each. The lobby is classy and more modern than many other Ritz’s on the each coast. What was severely lacking was the service. It was definitely under staffed. During our 48 hour visit, the entrance door was only opened for us once. No potter was greeting us and took our luggage as we got out of the car, even though we were the only car at the front. Room service was shockingly sloppy! My son built a “fort” with the sofa cushions the night before. It was left untouched the next day. My toiletries and the blow dryer were scattered on the counter. I had to call for the bath robes because they were not provided the first night. Only one of the two suites we reserved had refreshments and a welcome note for us.
Stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate my birthday earlier this year. They did everything I asked them to, including leaving a fruit and cheese plate in my room upon my flight arrival. The room service was excellent. The breakfasts were superb. Tried to taste more of Boston so didn't request toom service a lot. Only issue-Hired a limo service through the hotel for my party all 4 days only to have undisclosed costs. But a positive, the chef made me a fancy choclate birthday cake with gold leaf, compliments of the hotel. Best cake ever! I've done another Ritz Carlton elsewhere, but this one was the best.
Hotel is modern, new, sleek. Check in with Brian was excellent. Only 4 floors of rooms. Feels boutique like. Room was decently appointed. Bed and bathroom were Ritz Carlton standard. Issues are bugs in the Club Lounge. I am not talking one or two little fruit flies. But many, many of them. According to person working the Club it had been a known issue for over two weeks. Gross. Also, there is only 1 restaurant and it closes at 1pm. Even on a Saturday. Unbelievable. Things went from total 5 star on day 1 to disaster on day 2. Also, food wrapper garbage from previous guest was left in the room.
Hopefully this review will prove helpful after I provide context of my stay, bright spots of my experience, and a few critiques. Lets get started. First, I stayed for a long leisure weekend to attend a game at TD Garden, sight see, and visit family. Next, here are some bright spots of my stay. The hotel was oddly quiet but proved to be relaxing after three days. The Equinox health club attached to the hotel is one of the best health clubs I have ever used. Equinox is accessible from the room floors without going through public spaces. Some of the equipment overlooks the beautiful park adjacent to the hotel and there are sports courts and fitness studios. All of the hotel staff were incredibly polite and conversational. I experienced late night room service and a few other touch points. Complimentary coffee, cider, or hot chocolate was served in the lobby. On the elevator landing was an antiqued mosaic mirror with a map of Boston "etched" and it was the perfect decorative touch. Finally, there are some critiques. Another review mentioned there were no coffee makers or mini bar amenities in the rooms and that was true of my stay as well. Some type of value-ad amenity in the room would go a long way to making the high rates more acceptable. A preference on my Bonvoy profile was not handled pre-arrival. It was corrected immediately but it is a preference that a typical Courtyard or Residence Inn would get right. Finally the Avery Bar closed earlier than expected on Saturday night and was not opened on Sunday at all. The Bar closure on Saturday night was very abrupt to the point where I ordered a round of four drinks at last call and only two of the drinks were served. Generally speaking, the food and beverage experience at the property seemed like an afterthought. In closing, this is a very relaxing hotel with an amazing location and outstanding service professionals, but there are a few small enhancements that would make a guest feel better about the room and food cost.
Wonderful hotel. Maybe one of the best stays in my life. Super service, great room with lots of light and so central. You can walk to everything. Chinatown, theaters, Newbury and the commons park, Faneuil hall.
Enjoyed a nice staycation to celebrate fiancés 30th birthday at the Ritz-Carlton, Boston. Received an upgrade due to status and was very appreciative. Hotel and room were very clean and service was top notch. Special shout out to Mary O’Boyle who arranged for a special surprise for my fiancé upon arrival! We can’t wait to come back and enjoy another stay. Highly recommend!
Awesome hotel, great dinner and breakfast. Super accessible to the city. Room service was very friendly and helpful.
Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Boston from Austin with my wife and our 2 and a half year old daughter. Great city, fantastic hotel along the park with shopping just across park, very friendly staff, crazy nice gym which I walked through and my wife used.
