The Sinking Ship

Great Laid Back Bar. Definitely great if you are Vegan or Vegetarian! My husband and I went for Mother's Day the food was delicious! Hats off to the chef, because it's was fast but still great service! The bartender is really nice there and the atmosphere is very chill. If you want a great date night place to go, Try The Sinking Ship and if you go in the day time during lunch it's even quieter so you get to really enjoy the environment and food without a big crowd.

The Sinking Ship is a one of a kind spot in Indy. There is always a good selection of beers to choose from.. and their food is great. Star tots, chili dogs, stellar mac and cheese options. Really the whole menu has something for everyone...including vegan options. Love the pinball machine collection and there is even an outdoor space to chill. I'm always down to come here when it's offered up as an option.

Looked for a vegan friendly place in Indy and ended up here. Food was GREAT! I had jackfruit in a salad.... Sounds weird but it was awesome. They have a lot of vegan choices, and their salt and vinegar chips are really good too. The waiter was friendly and cool atmosphere too. Although we saw 666 a few more times than we would've liked. But hey. I'd go again!

Service: 3/5, Quality: 5/5, Value: 2/5 Vegetarian/Vegan Options: 4/5 Short version: Wide selection of Vegetarian/Vegan options that have an excellent taste. Minor marks for poor portion sizes and average service. Longer version: The service was about what you'd expect from a restaurant. Wait staff is generally friendly and helpful answering questions, though can be a bit slow at times. The quality of the food was excellent. Their seitan Wings taste great and we in particular enjoyed the Ship BBQ (or Korean BBQ if you like a minor kick). In terms of value we left a disappointed. Of restaurants that focus on vegan/vegetarian options, this probably has been the most disappointing food portion sizing we have experienced. it's hard to argue against their wide selection of vegan/vegetarian options. They mark the items clearly on their menu which is a huge bonus and helps eliminate a lot of questions. Overall, we enjoyed The Sinking Ship though the portion sizes seemed to have missed the mark.

Known for 5 things. Great Beer! Vegan options! (Great food in general!) The star tots! Heavy metal music! And hockey bar! 😁 great place overall!!!
