6 STARS The staff and services are phenomenal here! They definitely deserve an extra star in my book! All of the negative reviews nearly sent me across town to get printing done for a conference presentation, but I'm glad I gave this UPS Store a chance. It is a special location, conveniently located in middle of the conference venue and West Promenade registration. I don't think this location is really meant for people walking in off the street with shipping needs... it is especially for hotel guests and event attendees. It's a hotel business center managed by the UPS Store... It's equivalent to "Barnes & Noble" running a college campus book store... it may be B&N, but don't expect to go in and pick up the latest James Patterson book. The staff was extremely helpful and considerate of my printing needs and made sure the final product was exactly what I wanted. He was professional and courteous to each patron who came in 6 or 7 additional customers came through while I was there. Bottom line, if you're a DC resident and need to drop off a prepaid package, find a post office; they take prepaid UPS and FedEx packages and most locations! Or, better yet, call 1-800-PICK-UPS and arrange for a pick-up... that's free, too! Don't get upset about a UPS Store located in a $300+/night hotel that sells a 0.7-oz. bag of Lay's for $4.75 charging a handling fee. On the other hand, if you are staying at or near the Omni Shoreham Hotel for a conference or any other business-related venture, let the wonderful staff at this UPS Store help you with printing, copying, shipping, and/or any other business office center needs.
Even with being sent here by amazon for a free shipping and pre-paid label still tried to charge 7$ for shipping. Definitely was not easy to find in the hotel either. Should have better description on their “fees” as they do not follow normal UPS procedures.
I tried to drop off a prepaid package with the UPS label. I was informed that location charged a $7 handling fee. The location is really a hotel business center. The folks on 18th Street didn't charge a fee and were much friendlier.
I understand their need to charge a handling fee. And as I was trying to navigate the conference's preferred handler the folks that work in this store went about and beyond the usual. Even the carrier was not as helpful. The staff here were very helpful and well worth any of the handling fee that was charged. It was great for myself as I was 2500 miles away. Thank you!
I was charged $10 just to drop off my pre-paid package. Insane!!!!!! Charging a handling fee in the first place seems unnecessary but $10 just to drop a package off is theft.
They trying to charge me $5 free just for drop off it. No way that’s crazy. I told them to give me my package to drop it in the another location.
The staff wasn’t working at the desk when it was supposed to. We had to call the store while waiting inside the store for anybody to show up and help us. After all that, they weren’t even able to get us a simple pre-paid label. Very bad experience overall, wouldn’t recommend!!!
Do not go - charge you $7 just to drop off a package with a prepaid label, which is absolutely ridiculous. It’s also incredibly hard to find.
First, this place is not easy to find--it is buried inside the Omni Hotel. Second, because it's in the hotel, you have to pay an extra processing fee for any packages you ship from there tallied based on weight. Not worth it.
Not a real UPS. Charge an additional $10 fee on top of the postage just because it's a hotel location.
