The American Psychiatric Association had their PAC reception on the top floor of the restaurant. The food was good. Staff was amazingly nice. The view of the city at night was beautiful. It was a revolving restaurant so had to be seen! I would go back just to see a view of the city during the daytime!

I’ve been going to The View at the Marriott Marquis for something like 27 years. Over this course of time it has remained one of our favorite places to bring new guests visiting from out of town or from overseas. The views are truly quite unique and very much unmatched to anywhere else in the city while sitting down for cocktails or for dinner. I wanted to offer this review as a Lon time patron who has seen many changes over the years at the View as well as in our beautiful city. The service at the View has always pretty much been the same, sort of like being in an airplane, the service is quite nonchalant, the staff at the upstairs cocktail and buffet portions are always on a push to turn over tables and service crowds as they come in. It isn’t very personalized unless you get a waiter with a great personality, the cocktails are slightly overpriced and the buffet food is mediocre. However, overall, the buffet and cocktail section isn’t to be missed by any new visitors to the city, it’s truly an unforgettable experience if you are there for the views and don’t mind the slightly overpriced check at the end for a few cocktails and some bites of food. The restaurant section features tablecloth seating and the service is slightly more attentive, however the food is nothing to boast about in comparison to the many excellent choices of food available throughout the city, especially for the price tags and the quality. Overall, the one very worthy thing about this iconic location is the unforgettable view of midtown Manhattan from 360 degrees. I wouldn’t show up expecting exquisite food or exquisite service but I would expect the view to outlast all these aspects of the establishment and would therefore recommend at the very least one visit. Wishing for more improvements at this space, as it would be a pitty to lose this icon over mediocre management.

I would recommend this location specifically for the lounge and for an opportunity to see the New York skyline while resting your feet or between activities! I love taking guests here when they are in town, because you get to see so much of the beautiful skyline and because it is very conveniently located in Times Square, close to most hotels and many tourist activities. At the lounge you have a few food options including the buffet, but I would recommend getting a few drinks and waiting an hour for the full 360 turn of the rotation! Yes, the drinks are quite expensive (expect $20ish each) BUT it is free to get to the lounge, and they do not rush you, so you can enjoy your very delicious cocktail as you look out at the iconic skyline. I would recommend going early in the evening (4-6pm) because you can often go right up without having to wait, you will not be rushed, and you can see the beginning of sunset. This is the perfect activity for if you want to enjoy the sights of the city, but have a few hours to kill before a Broadway performance or dinner reservation.

We were not sure what to expect, our experience from arriving to leaving surpassed our expectations. Stunning views in a extremely pleasant surrounding . The food was truly a wonderful gastronomic experience.the staff were attentive and friendly yet discreet in their appearance. I would recommend to anyone who wishes to indulge in a fine dinning experience it was our wedding anniversary and to our surprise they bought a cake to us a very thoughtful gesture. It is worth waiting for a window table , whilst you wait they have a lovely bar above where you can enjoy the same views this area also offers a buffet style dining which looked very tempting for a second visit Overall AMAZING .WONDERFUL Delicious

Serves good food and drinks ! Fantastic desserts! Definitely expensive! Friendly staff ! But this place is more about the whole experience (Food+drinks+360 revolving views of Manhattan) not just one item or one drink! Celebrated our anniversary here...they served a cake for us at the end ! Reservations recommended! Overall Worth it :)
