The Woodhouse Day Spa - North Bethesda

This spa is pretty, parking is complimentary for 2 hours, lovely smelling Voya products. That is what the stars are for. I was very excited to have my legs and feet wrapped in seaweed leaves during the Seaweed Pedicure. Well, my legs and feet were not wrapped in seaweed leaves. There were 3 small pieces of seaweed placed on parts of my legs. By no definition is this considered a wrap. Big disappointment. In my opinion, I thought there could have been a lot lower voices by the technician(s). While sitting in the "quiet" room, they would yell guests names from across the room in place of approaching each guest to quietly state the name. While sitting in the pedicure room, one of the other nail tech's came in to strike up conversation with the woman who was working with me about how her guest did not show up for her appointment as well as other things that do not need to be discussed while a guest is in the room. It started to seem like any nail place you can go to on every corner.

I have been to so many spas in this city, and I can honestly say that this is by far the best. The place is clean and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and well-trained. Also, the prices are quite okay.

I received a Groupon to this spa as a birthday present. Wish I could have gone here, but a family emergency kept me from being able to make my appointment. When I called to explain why I couldn't come in I was told that the 24 hr cancellation policy was in effect, and that the fee for a missed appointment was the same amount as the Groupon I would be using ($75?!!). Women should be aware that it's nearly impossible to get a female masseuse for appointments past 5:00 pm. Apparently, every single female masseuse in DC has to leave by that time to pick up their kids.
