After living here for 2 years I can honestly say The Zeller is a Perfect 5 star apartment complex *****. Fiorella and the other staff are all kind, communicative, and easy to work with. The complex itself is clean with a modern vibe to it. If you’re a hanging a shin-ding, like to read a book or wanting to “get out” without being out the views of the mountains and city on the rooftop are relaxing. If you have a dog or a cat you walk outside there trails places to walk you pet around and dog parks in walking distance. As someone who traveled to Utah out of state I’d 100 percent recommend moving here due to location and being close to everything you’d need and want shopping and travel wise.
I’ve been here for nearly 2 months now and quality seems to be getting worse. Packages go missing, no one changes the water filters so they’re always flashing red, the trash room is disgusting and dumpsters spill over everywhere which smells and looks Awful. If you park on the second floor you have to pass through the trash room to get to your vehicle- the trash rooms are also out of commission on each floor so you HAVE to go in there or they will evict you. I feel like I live at a landfill. Is there a maintenance staff here at all? The dog washing station is literally a hose in a storage room with a clogged drain so you’re up to your ankles in water. The bike and car tire fill up also doesn’t work-hose is broken and doesn’t seem like anyone will fix it anytime soon. The pool is nice but super packed and was closed recently because there was shattered glass in the water. The people here are nice but maintenance is really slacking and there is no luxury feel here. There is also no security on site and the dumpster door is wide open all day so homeless can wonder right into the building. The front office staff is so friendly & The apartment itself is very pretty and modern with ample lighting- appliances are new and work efficiently…. But the complex needs some TLC
We've lived here for a year and have no plans to leave anytime soon. The office staff especially Fiorella are very attentive and helpful. The few times we've needed maintenance, our request was answered almost instantly. Our apartment is comfortable and quiet and the neighborhood feels very safe and welcoming. Can't beat our view of the mountains either! Highly recommend as a great place to live in SLC.
I LOVE living at the Zeller! The office people are always so helpful and attentive. Ivana is the most helpful sweetheart there is. She’s so quick to attend to my needs and always communicative. I truly don’t know what my washer and dryer would do without her.
I came to tour The Zeller and I had the best experience with the office staff. There were 3 of them there and they all gave me such a warm welcome! The professionalism that the team has is outstanding! I wanted to see a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom and the ladies answered all of my questions very clearly and were patient with all of my questions. My favorite part was that they had a private pool and the view from the rooftop deck! The actual apartments themselves are SO nice and modern. I love the details in the white cabinets and the hardwood flooring. I definitely don't think you could go wrong with living at The Zeller!
Most amazing office staff ever! I rented this place for two sophomore college students and the office staff was so friendly and helpful. I live out of state and never had an issue getting help. Beautiful new complex. Trax stops RIGHT OUTSIDE, but it is a long ride to campus because you have to transfer. It is s very short ride up to Sugarhouse though. We did not pay for garage parking and still didn't have trouble finding a spot outside.
Hidden fees like crazy. Was told we would have relatively manageable utilities, but turns out we split utilities with everyone in the building. So even if we are careful with how we use them, we fit the bill for everyone else. Fees ended up being more than double what was explained. Rent ended up being $300+ more than what we originally thought because of this. First two months were fine, but then our “accounts were activated” and they started billing us for everything: sewage, trash, crappy required media package, public space electric, public use of gas, public use of water, personal electric, and so forth. Absolutely crazy that this wasn’t explained up front. They say that they can’t tell you what utilities will cost because it’s based on personal use, but reality is, it’s based in everyone’s use and there could’ve been a formula/summary given at the beginning. It would have been so much easier to deal with if we weren’t blindsided two months after we moved in. Trash shoots are never working, trash everywhere and smelling awful. Other tenants just leave trash in the hall to rot. Why are we paying for trash utilities if it is never taken care of?? The Management company over the property: Goldman Sacs clearly doesn’t give a damn about their property and quality.
Do not be fooled by the 5 star tour reviews. I wish I could give this apartment complex 0 stars. The move-in experience was a nightmare as I was first told that our apartment wasn't ready the day before move-in, and then unexpectedly switched to a different apartment. It's honestly been all downhill from there: - No heat broken boilers/furnace for over 50 days, terrible since I work from home - Slow hot water and broken appliances including the fridge, dishwasher, and garbage disposal - Missing lights, exposed wires, and clogged drains - Holes, scuffs, and scratches on several walls throughout the apartment in need of repair - Construction items left behind from the unfinished work - Items left behind from the previous tenant - Hidden fees - A forced media package with no alternatives - Amenities such as the supposed "year round heated pool" and a constantly overflowing/leaking hot tub that have not been properly maintained we all have to pay for the shared water bill - Unprofessional and ineffective maintenance crew - Gaslighting by the apartment manager when approached with these issues - Unsheltered people taking refuge under the stairwell in the locked building - Trash room in a state of horror, leaving the building entrance and elevator smelling like waste 24/7 - Trash constantly piled up in the hallways where the chutes are because the d*mn thing keeps breaking - Animal feces constantly smeared in the carpet It's definitely not the "Luxury Living" they advertised. Late Summer 2023 Update: Things have only deteriorated further since my initial review. Regrettably, I’ve given up hope on the apartment complex taking any action. At the height of my efforts to address the issues, the manager offered a mere $200 “concession,” which felt like a complete disregard for our concerns. Since my last review, the year-round pool and hot tub have rarely been operational, often closed for supposed “maintenance.” The power has failed six times, and we’re the ones footing the bill for these amenities that aren’t even available most of the time. It’s an absolute mess with litter, occasional vomit, and an overall neglect for the property’s upkeep. Parking remains a constant issue, with residents failing to leave enough space for others in the shared parking area, and the supposedly “secure” garage has been nonfunctional all summer. Living here keeps us constantly on edge, and we can’t wait to leave this nightmare behind. -1/5 stars.
I give 5 stars to the Zeller management team. Giselle and team are excellent and made my stay at the Zellar as pleasant as possible. Overall, I had a great experience during my time there. I would recommend to anyone looking for a nice 2 bedroom.
Giselle is amazing, she made my move in process a breeze. She was very informative and made me feel very comfortable. Any situation that arised she was able to fix for me and very quickly at that. This has been the best experience!
