We came in today for my sons birthday. The manager was awesome. He gave our son some cards, which we didn’t expect and he was so excited. Everyone we came in contact with was so polite and willing to chat with a group full of 10 year olds. We have shopped here a few times but will absolutely be back after a great birthday party! Thank you to everyone that made the day so much fun.
Great store with one of the largest selections of Pokémon card products I’ve ever seen. I did buy two cards from here and both were sold to me at a higher condition than they were in. It’s wasn’t anything crazy but buying a LP card for NM pricing does leave a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. That being said I would still recommend this store to anyone looking for some new cards, just double check the condition before buying anything.
Sports card section is amazing. The staff is awesome. The TCG side is more of an acquired taste. The the guys I dealt with seem to try to make your stuff seem not as important or valuable which I guess in this type of environment makes sense but if you are going to sell to them make sure you know that you are not getting even half price of what you expect from the TCG side.
This was my first visit and someone who grew up going to Louisville game shop and Pet shop comics, I have never been so disappointed with my experience. I went with my boyfriend and one of the employees was perfectly fine talking to him, but once he realized I was the customer he started being outright dismissive. Then at check out my card was snatched out of my hands then thrown back at me.
I get it's not the end of the world for any other person that enters the store, but for us it was a big deal. My daughter is allowed to pick one toy when we go places like this or even target. She picked up this dingy scuffed up maybe 5 inch plush Pikachu. She's 3. It's what she wanted. I couldn't find a price tag, but to be fair there are totes/bins on the literal floor with toys and bits and parts in them. At no point did I question the dirty no tag Pikachu. We had went to browse really. So we had two drinks and this Pikachu she wanted. We get up to the counter and he mentions something about a fire hydrant? Then tells us its not for sale. It was literally out on the sales floor with other items. He didn't ask anyone or do anything. The way it felt for me is you literally just took a toy from a toddler. She cried and we had to get her out of the store before she had a total meltdown. Now its not hard to find a small Pika plush. We hopped to Gamestop and cool this one even has a hat. Just kind of hurt me to watch her cry I guess. I don't know how something out on the sales floor isn't for sale. You could have told me 20 dollars and I would have paid it because it was what she picked out. Overall I paid 3.80 I think for two drinks and a meltdown from my kid. I probably won't be back.
Tried to get help from dude with long hair and a beard. After he flat out did not offer to help me I got help for my son from another customer. They really have a lot of quality items but I was not able to see most of them because the man in the picture refused to help in any way. Second time around was a totally awesome experience. A young man was working and he answered all of our questions and helped us find what we needed. After this experience we are definitely going to go back for more.
GREAT selection of cards Pokemon, MLB, and much more. Wasn't made a fair offer for the cards we brought in, but I'm sure that varies. We'll try again another time.
I routinely go here for my MTG, MCP, or star wars legion needs. I also routinely go here to Play MTG which is a blast. If you ever have any questions just head to the counter and ask an employee, they are always super helpful and a pleasure to talk to!
Everything sealed is overpriced over MSRP on everything. They get their employees to buy stock from other big box stores and resell it at huge markup which is why it is hard to find certain products. They overprice their singles for the condition. Every time I have been in there, they are super unfriendly and less than helpful. Trade ins are a joke, they follow the GameStop model. If you want to overspend for sealed product and get undercut on trades, this is the place to go.
Best place in town for events and space for your next DnD session, or for playing any of the Major Three TCG's. Huge card selection, knowledgeable staff
