This place is fabulous! Chef is brilliant using the freshest of ingredients. Everything is made authentically fresh with no preservatives. There is no menu. You tell him what protein and he custom builds a dish for you. This place was used as a test kitchen for his unique blend of herbs and spices.

I do not have the words to give this man the review he deserves. Never in my life have I had such an amazing eating experience! I'll admit I was a bit skeptical as I wandered in the building without even the slightest idea of how to order. But the lack of a menu may just be my favorite part about this place! The owner himself seated us and simply asked us each what we were hungry for. No need for a menu to indecisively search through when you have someone to hand pick a meal according to your tastes! (of course after ensuring he hasn't missed any allergies). It was a weeknight, so the place wasn't too crowded, so he quickly began getting to know everyone in the restaurant, sharing stories and tidbits of knowledge. The experience was absolutely outstanding, and the food was unlike anything I'd ever had in my life. Everything you'll find there is unique and delicious, with only the highest quality ingredients. I could go on for ages, but really you just have to see it to believe it! I have already recommended it to everyone I know!

Look, if you enjoy an out-of-the-box dining experience, value quality and excellence of the food over the fluff of sophisticated atmosphere and setting, and love the opportunity to have a one-on-one relationship with a head chef who is insanely passionate about providing the best possible meal, then this is the place for you.
If you’re looking for a typical restaurant experience (and I say that in as genuine, matter-of-fact way possible—not trying to patronize the other side of this coin) I would look at coming to this place another time when the former is more of what you’re in the mood for.
(For example, there’s no set menu. The head chef, Hai, gets a feel for what kind of meat you’re in the mood for and then he calls an audible on what to bring you.)
Hai prides himself on top quality meat and produce. Like many successful entrepreneur-types, he’s personable and very straight to the point—a character for sure—and a lot of fun if you don’t come in too uptight.
The food is unforgettably tasty and unique. The atmosphere is fun and feels very authentic. If you’re open-minded, you’re gonna absolutely love this place.

Awesome! The chef came to our table as soon as we sat down, asked what we wanted, then prepared a delicious meal! I didn’t know how much I would have to pay for such a unique experience but it’s was less than $50 for a steak and a huge piece of salmon. Plenty of delicious food! Will definitely return!

Bountiful is a terrible location for the kind of restaurant this guy wants to run. The food is exceptional, definitely the best pho I’ve ever had. The chef certainly comes off a bit prickly, he is very particular and proud of what he does, which is fantastic. I just wonder how he has managed to be so successful in Bountiful in the store where I used to rent videos. I intend to return what I have the money to spend on him really doing something dazzling for me.
