I lived in a Time Equities building for nearly 20 years until last month. For the entire time, they handled everything with courteousness and respect. One nice thing about having a professional management company is that it affords multiple support systems. So, for example, even when our super was on vacation, there were other people we could call on for help. Bil, our super, was dependable and enormously hardworking. And I'm especially grateful to Rose, who was my contact when I first signed my lease in 2001, and she stayed accessible and helpful throughout my entire two decades at the building. She's a special person and she went out of her way to make my Time Equities experience a great one. Sadly, I had to give up my lease during the pandemic because I'm unable to travel to New York for work, but Time Equities will be my first call when I'm back in the city and looking for a new apartment.
I lived in a Time Equities apartment West Village for 10 years. I always received excellent administrative and maintenance support. I found them a pleasure to do business with especially with Rose Dass who has great knowledge of the NYC rental market. Rose and team provided great support to me as I considered rental options. One of the worst companies to deal with. Actually was a tenant for close to year and left because they owed me a ton of money since July. Every week I have asked about it since past 60 days. Every week I’m told 2 weeks I’ll have checks or I’ll have checks at the end of the week. Still have not received and penny so I left as a tenant. I have called there main office in New York almost every other day and receive no call back or even a email. I wouldn’t recommend being a tenant or doing any work for them. I was at BIC at 955 Connecticut ave. Bridgeport. I ton of tenants hate being there and have been moving out like crazy because of floods in there spaces due to leaking roofs and such.
Be Aware! You may not get your security deposit back. I was a tenant for 3 years at one of their commercial properties. They did the bare minimum maintenance to the building, but the real trouble strated when i moved out: it has been more then 5 months and they still did not refund my security deposit, despite the fact that the lease states they are supposed to return it in 30 days. I reached out to their Director of Commercial Rents multiple times, and she stalled me everytime, promised that they are sending my check next week. Then she stopped responding all together. Still waiting...
Incredible 5 star luxury landmark historic property that was built in 1820. Was originally the saint patricks old cathedral school .
Rose, Adnan and the team are professional, responsive, and generally great to work with. We had signed a longterm lease after enjoying our first year and then the COVID quarantine hit, so we decided to leave Manhattan. Time Equities facilitated a lease takeover to a new tenant, and were understanding and efficient throughout that process. We're sad to leave the building, but would live in another of their buildings any time.
This landlord and its in-house legal department do not respond to calls and emails from tenant or tenant's attorney. They have withheld a security deposit for more than 6 months and refused the final walk-through when Tenant surrendered the premises. TEI is an awesome company filled with honest and hardworking individuals. When I first moved to NYC, I needed some guidance finding an apartment and TEI had my back throughout the whole process. They are knowledgeable people who actually care about their customers - which is a lot more than I can say for some of the other groups I've worked with.

I am a tenant of time equities property and they have been nothing but helpful at every request. Our super is wonderful and so is our building manager. Definitely recommend!!
