Torrid

At the beginning of November I had placed an order online for a pair of boots to be sent to this store. Over the weeks I had called twice and both times the workers assured me that I would get an email AND A phone call once my boots arrived. I was confused because the boots had said shipped for quite a while but I waited...checking phone and email daily. Fast forward to this early afternoon 12/21/22 I cave and decide to give them a call and see what is going on. I didn't even have to give the employee my name. Almost as if they knew they had been sitting in there way too long. The employee on the phone tried to say my phone number was inncorrect and I even showed her the number was infact not incorrect. But if it had been, what about that email I was told I'd recieve as well?? On my reciept it says that this workers name is Misty, she had just come back from a long break where they closed down the store and she was the only one in the shop so i'm going to assume that's whom I dealt with. Misty was incredibly rude and even told me if I hadn't came in or called she was going to give the incorrect number one more call and if I didn't answer she was sending the boots back....as if I was some sort of incompetent child. As a plus size woman i advocate for plus size clothing and have always spoken very highly of the Cottonwood Torrid. My view has certainly changed. I've never felt so belittled and i've never felt so insulted when I did absolutely nothing wrong. I've been waiting weeks to get these boots and i put more effort in then i think i even needed to. So I wanted to just thank Misty for treating someone so poorly that they will be going else where to shop. And even so, I hope the next person she treats as poorly is as kind as I was because most certainly aren't. As someone whom has worked retail in the midst of holiday seasons i'm incredibly disappointed. I know it isn't easy. Though, her store was completely dead and I had just waited nearly 45 minutes whilst she was on break and closed down the store. Then to be insulted after I even corrected her on her saying my number was wrong multiple times...she tried to sell me clearenced items like a robot that needed some serious cool down time. I've given this store pleanty of my time and money but I won't be coming back. Grateful to see the true colors. Thanks again.

I always prefer online shopping but when I've gone into the store, I'm never disappointed! The selection is always dangerous and the customer service fantastic! Well done!

The clothes are fabulous, a variety of styles and fits. The sales crew here is amazing. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The whole shilling experience is smooth and pleasant which can be hard for chubby ladies. They do not limit the number of items you can try on at once. The dressing rooms are large, well lit, and have FANS. Everything is designed for the comfort of the shoppers. Love this place! My only complaints for this brand in general is the price range and the over abundance of floral patterns.

I was feeling shy and embarrassed since it had been a while since I bought bras and panties. Everyone was so sweet, helpful and understanding. The prices are expensive but definitely worth it for the quality. It’s hard finding a great supportive bra with a big chest! Thank you for your great service and great products

Love Torrid! The staff is always very helpful helping find what I need. They will get sizes for me while in the dressing room and are very knowledgeable about their products and how they should fit. I wish there was one close to me. I have to shop online now and that has been good too.

Been in twice. Clothes definitely nice good quality I am a plus size lady with long legs. There was only one pair of tall jeans. I could order on line i was tokd. But if i dont like them i have to pay shipping. Why cant places have tall jeans? These clothes are a bit overpriced. But plus size clothes are hard to find. All places i shopped have closed

This would be 5 stars if I were a bit younger! Things Torrid does great: 1 Great selection of jeans, including full length jeans in the summer, with many different styles and cuts. 2 Great selection of bras in different styles and fits. 3 The COOLEST literally and figuratively is the shopper operated 3speed oscillating fan in each fitting room! I may never try on clothes anywhere else again. 4 Really helpful staff, and a rewards program with coupons that promises to be worth it. Things Torrid could work on in my opinion: 1 Clothing is geared very young. I'm 56, but love stylish, colorful clothing. I would like to see a few more tops that show a little less cleavage, stomach, etc. Unfortunately, as we age, us heavy girls aren't as firm as when we were younger! Torrid is still my favorite of the plus size clothing stores available here in Albuquerque.

Cute stuff but definitely way overpriced...even the clearance. I was looking for some slacks for a job interview and they we're $60. Clearance summer dresses we're $48. Ended up going right across the way to JC Penney and got slacks for $8....same quality. I will continue to shop at Torrid but mainly for sizing so I can order online where the prices can be better.

The ladies here were kind and polite. Feeling welcomed makes a huge difference. I will be returning next week.

i came into cottonwood mall and i was dealing with cheyanne and she was so unbelievably rude and did not want to exchange items for me cause the tag popped off. i’ve worked retail and i’ve worked retail during covid so i KNOW the rules. i accidentally didn’t buy the right size and then looked that the tag when i got home and noticed it wasn’t the right size. she was so unbelievably rude and would not let me exchange. she refused to exchange the items for me and told me to go to the coronado location because she said that coronado’s location isn’t up to standards and they’d except it there. she isn’t a team leader and isn’t a good representative for the torrid brand.
