The space, food, service and ambience are well worth taking a trip to dine at this lovely updated Jamestown restaurant!! The salad was fresh and inventive. The rolls were warm and tasty. The pasta entrees were delicious! The menu has something for everyone whether you want a light appetizer such as tuna or a burger or a full entree. There are specially created cocktails and a great selection of wines and beers. The space is simply gorgeous. You can dine at one of the bars or patios on the first or second levels or choose a variety of al fresco locations. The decor is country chic meets beach house. You will want to ask the owners where they found all the different things and if they can build and decorate your next house!!

It's very expensive and there's nothing that really stands out about the cuisine. The location was amazing the staff was really great too. Service was top notch but the food was just very mediocre and considerably over priced in my opinion. Also, 10$ per bottled beer is greedy.

Wonderful setting and location, but...
We had a reunion of friends last year who had been frequent diners and drinkers at this restaurant and recently tried it again to see if things had improved. NO. The food was pedestrian, (mediocre), the mussels were served with many not opened, and the prices were exceptionally high for not exceptional food.Be prepared for high priced drinks as well. Good service, but had hoped it would have been a better experience.

Simpatico recently closed, remodeled, and reopened for summer 2013 under new ownership. My family and I were regular customers prior to this change of hands and we absolutely loved the place, but after dining there last weekend for the first time since it reopened I'm afraid we won't be returning to Simpatico anytime soon. While the refurbishments that were made to the outdoor bar, patio and dining area are certainly upgrades and the pleasant atmosphere has remained the same, I hate to say that the food has certainly gone downhill.
What we loved about the old Simpatico was the unique array of fresh fish dishes that were the focal point of the menu. They also prepared all of their meat and pasta very well and planned the perfect accompaniments. Basically, we loved Simpatico because you couldn't go wrong with any dish on the menu. Seafood dishes now are few and far between on the menu. I ordered the swordfish (one of only 2 fish dishes) and found it to be dry and overcooked. Perhaps most alarming was the fact that the fish was served smothered in a strong BBQ sauce that seemed to belong on ribs - not delicate fish. It was overpowering and a complete flavor mismatch.
Others in my party ordered the burger - which to be fair was decent, but the fries on the side were terrible. They had a stale taste and it was clear that they were frozen. Not something you're looking for at a restaurant where you spend $15 on a burger.
Overall this was a disappointing experience, especially given how great Simpatico used to be. The cocktails were good and atmosphere is still great so I would recommend going for a drink outside at the bar, but if you're looking for a good dinner I would head across the street to Jamestown Fish.
