Fantastic Brunch. Great cocktails. Okay main menu. I absolutely love the entire vibe and the aesthetics of Tribe - I genuinely feel happy walking in which is a HUGE reason we keep coming back. The brunch menu is and the cocktails are great! The main menu isn’t my favorite in KC, but I can always find something on it for the sake of getting a great patio during summer or an atmosphere that feels warm and inviting during winter.
Preface: Everyone has a different experience. This takes place at 11:30am on 4-16-22. My party size was 2 and we asked to be seated at one of the three open tables however they sat us at the bar. Nice chill vibe, relatively clean front of house, bathroom is very basic — two unisex stalls. I totally understand conservation and recycling but I don’t like paper straws. Overall I was less than satisfied with the service and the food.
Great dinner outside, staff was friendly, knew the menu, made great recommendations, food was deeelish and the atmosphere was bohemian chic. Definitely recommend for a great dinner experience. Staff also brought out a water bowl for a Corgi pup that was dining with its pet parent.

Super cute place. Asceticly pleasing for sure. But the staff is also really sweet. It took awhile to get our food, but we came at the end of rush. It gave us time to enjoy the atmosphere. Food was very very good, and so where the drinks. They're a bit expensive if you're on a budget, but they're strong and taste good. The red on is called cats pajamas and it was If you have time, check this place out!! -tip your server!! They work really hard and do a good job!!
Brunch at Tribe is always where I want to be! I recommend any time possible! The food is pretty good but the drinks are great. Sitting at the bar is such a fun and genuine experience. The bartenders, no matter who, have always given me impeccable service and enjoy doing it. I'm always so happy here! Thanks for a great escape!
The food here is outstanding! The entrees we had were definitely made in house and were very fresh. Yes, it takes a little bit longer than some other places, but that is excused when you realize that the kitchen is back there actually making your meal fresh. The only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the service is hit or miss. Sometimes it is great and very attentive and other times you sit with an empty glass for a long time. Worth it for the food.
Probably the best day-to-day menu in menu in River Market, amazing atmosphere and fantastic people. The tacos are exceeded in deliciousness by only the cocktails. Oh, and the house-made chips are the best in Kansas City - not kidding. Service is snappy, bartenders epic and Dr. Arion keeps everything running smooth. You know you've found a winner when the staff spends their off-time there... Tribe is everything you want in a restaurant/cocktail bar.
The picture below are called Bavarian Nuggies which is a fancy name for pretzel with cheese, but to their credit these pretzel bites might be the best you've ever had. Great atmosphere, great service, great food!
Not a fan of the new menu. This was one of our favorite places to try out something new on the menu each time because there were bold and unusual flavors and ingredients. This last visit the menu had changed to.. just sort of regular stuff like tacos and burgers and a single dessert option. Don't get me wrong, I like tacos and burgers, but that's not why we go to Tribe. The food was fine, but it felt like it had lost what made this place unique. Best of luck.
