We have been going to Tribeca Pediatrics since our son was born he’s 8 now. He usually sees Dr. Lyons, but every doctor we’ve met - and every staff member - is amazing. The front desk could not be more helpful, the nurses are quick to return to your calls, the staff that works with patients - all phenomenal. Highly, highly recommend!
We had our first Well Visit with Dr. Reyes today at the Warren St location and everything was amazing. From her knowledge & bedside manner, to her interaction with the kids. Her MA's and the office decor, we were so pleased! We have 3 kids and she saw all 3 of them at the same time and it was a piece of cake!
Very friendly staff, nurses and doctors! They are all very efficient, professional and make the whole experience very pleasant. The office itself is nice and bright. I take both of my kids there since they were born.
I’ve had a great experience overall but today we had to wait over an hour with our 2 year old while other families went ahead of us. Apparently our assigned dr didn’t have her own medical assistants in today to help her so things moved slow. Other than that it was great as always.
BEWARE - FOR YOUR CHILD'S HEALTH AND SAFETY IN ADDITION: THEY REFUSE TO NOTIFY BOTH PARENTS RE ANYTHING I had been attracted by the play stations in the waiting areas, the fancy contemporary styling etc... They pay a lot of attention to their "packaging". The doctors that work for this Corporation are regular doctors. But there's a dark secret lurking in the Corporation's business formula. My little girl has suffered a disabled lung from pneumonia because of this Corporation's diagnosis and prescription, so I was looking for a better doctor. In the meantime my girl needed a physical for her school. She narrowly averted another threat to her health, when this Corporation "diagnosed her" with High Blood Pressure! She is a 10 y/o in perfect physical condition with no family background in HBP and a great lifestyle in every respect: diet, exercise, social, emotional. Two months of BP monitoring after their "diagnosis" revealed that there was no problem at all! If I had not known that they are incompetent, I would not have looked for a second opinion and they might have put her on some BP medication!! This is a BUSINESS masquerading as a doctor's office, focused on growing their revenues and profits and NOT focused on your child! They utilize sub-par low level labor wherever they can to increase their profits, and they are taking chances with our children's health. Finally, when I had asked, years ago, that they notify both parents because our Custody Order mandates it they adamantly refused!!
At first we really enjoyed the staff & facility, efficient & comfortable. We visited the Ditmas location a few times with our newborn & enjoyed the office staff + doctors very much. Unfortunately as things progressed we experienced a few less than ethical, strange practices within their billing dept. First we were told we needed a weight check for the baby early on by a non-primary doctor. When we returned to have the baby put on a scale & weighed...no weight issue, we were billed for a full price office visit, not great. We eventually moved away found another doctor, confirmed we were all set through the front desk & patient portal, NO Balance, great, done. Over a year later, still no balance in the patient portal, we start getting aggressive calls twice a day from a third party billing company that calls themselves 'Tribeca Pediatrics.' They are a call center, telling me my child's age, birthday, personal information & that we owe money for gene testing, we didn't do that anyway they change their mind & tell us that we actually owe for something else. They put me through to another supervisor at their call center, has absolutely no idea what they are talking about just trying to get me send them payment over the phone, I hung up thinking someone had hacked Tribeca's system. Continued to receive multiple calls & notices in the mail daily. Eventually was able to get in touch with the actual Tribeca office, we settled a one year old + payment issue, fine great done. No balance confirmed. A year and a half now, started receiving the same calls & statements again. No balance in the Portal, confirmed with actual Tribeca, no balance, these are in error. Very unhappy, stressful situation, not a good look for new families at a "premium" facility.
This has been my children's pediatric practice for over a decade they're both teenagers now. It's a mixed bag, but as others have said, Dr. Lyons is a real gem and extremely helpful. But, everyone I know who has used them over the years has been frustrated. For example, they currently refuse to offer COVID-19 booster shots in the middle of a pandemic!. My son had a large burn blister and I was told they couldn't lance it because "we don't have any of the tools." It's a pediatric medical office, but they don't keep medical supplies on hand for normal childhood injuries?!? My grandfather was a "family doctor" and had everyone on hand for wound care, broken bones, infections, you name it. It boggles the mind!
We've been coming to the Tribeca location for over 10 years, when our 1st born arrived, and shortly after Dr. Michel Cohen first started his practice. Due to the growth of the practice, there's been a steady stream of different doctors staffing the different locations... So the downside is that you may not always get the same doctor, or develop a doctor/patient relationship. The upside, however, is that you can almost always get an appointment pretty quickly, and 95% of our encounters with the doctors have been excellent. Our most recent visit happened on 10/17/19, when I called to schedule an urgent visit for our 9 year old... The reception staff handled our call with care and attention, and scheduled a next day appointment. The doctor, whom I can't recall her name, was a younger female physician, who put my daughter at ease immediately, and provided her diagnosis with a very sweet touch. I also must give compliments to the desk staff, especially the gentleman who handled our check in and payment. There have been a few times when previous desk staff were not very customer service oriented and to an extent, a bit rude... But it's obvious that the management has made improvements, and care about the patient experience. We are fortunate to be able to go to any pediatrician practice of our choosing, but we keep coming back for the convenience... And also the care.
I love Tribeca Pediatrics. Dr Stephanie Blanco was so clear with me and my ten year old during his annual visit. I wouldn’t think kids could be so excited about their visit to the doctor!
Love Dr. Lyons. She is knowledgeable, thoughtful, informative, thorough, and always kind. My kids look forward to seeing her.
