Tribeca Sailing

We had an amazing experience with Captain Dave! I wanted to propose to my fiancé on the water and Captain Dave was so accommodating to help me coordinate the surprise. He was so responsive and even took photos of the proposal from the pier! We took Tara out for a 2 hour private tour and had an amazing experience with great views of the city and statue of liberty. The boat was a real gem - well kept and photogenic. Highly recommend!

Had the best experience with Captain Dave. What a great host and sailor. The sunset tour around the city was absolutely perfect!! His sailboat is a classic, charming well kept boat. Captain Dave is knowledgable, funny and a gracious host. Clearly an experience sailor and shared plenty of facts and history about the surrounding area (not the usual boring stuff). I would highly recommend and I’m looking forward to taking another tour with him in the future. Thank you Captain Dave !!!! And thanks for the restaurant recommendation ;)

Even though we live in NYC, our outing on Captain Dave's beautiful sailboat one sunny Sunday felt like a blissful vacation! It was such a unique experience to see the skyline and the Statue of Liberty from the water. The captain is so knowledgeable and the boat is a classic beauty. Due to the small number of other guests on board, it feels like it is truly your own boat. This is a must-do for any one visiting NYC for the first time or the 100th time, anniversaries, birthdays, engagements, and more!

I discovered Tribeca Sailing, Tara and Captain David a few years back. I really enjoyed every aspects of it: 1) David is great and has plenty to share about what you'll see on the trip regarding New York City and its waters as well as sailing in general; 2) Tara is a lovely charming classic sailboat, compared to the plastic ones you'll find often out here and she sails wonderfully; and 3) I finally got to back into sailing myself. I try to go back every year since then. And every time it's a blast! Much more personal experience than any other on the city waters. Captain David is a very safe and experienced sailor. And everyone I have sailed with on Tara has had a wonderful time. I'll probably go again a couple of times this year. Thanks Captain David and see you soon!

My husband and I and another couple decided to enjoy the only nice day of Memorial Day Weekend by beating the heat and jumping on a boat to cruise the NY skyline. After visiting numerous boat tour sites I found TriBeCa Sailing on trip advisor. I read several reviews, looked at the photos and booked on line. We wanted a more intimate experience and that’s exactly what we got! We packed a pitcher of Mojitos and a platter of shrimp cocktail and we were off! Capt. Dave is a great easy going guy that makes you feel like an old friend. His boat is beautiful and he is a perfect tour guide. I will highly recommend his tour to my friends!
