Helicopter Flight Services Inc

The flight itself was amazing of course, but I didn't like the way they handled everything else around it. We had been on a flight over the Grand Canyon before, so we have something to compare it to. First, there was no real security instruction. Second, they fit 6 people into the helicopter. That means it’s really crowded in there and one person has to sit in the middle, not directly at a window. At the Grand Canyon, there were only 5 people + pilot. We were a party of 3 and there was another group of 3 people. They try to distribute the weight equally when seating you in the helicopter. At the Grand Canyon, therefore, they weighed us. Here they judged only by the looks (we were all wearing thick winter clothes and looked pretty much the same). I felt like our party was disadvantaged because the other group got the seat in front, next to the pilot (the best seat) AND one of our people had to sit in the middle. I know that somebody is always the lucky one, good for them that they got the best seat, but I feel like the staff could have made up for that by also giving one of them the worst seat.

Expected a little more for the $$. We put on a headset but not much was said. I thought we would circle statue of liberty but that didn't happen. It was busy. Perhaps too many helicopters from different companies in the air flying to the same spots? Nearly 1000$ Canadian for the 3 of us to do the 12 minute ride....wont do it again or recommend it

If you set aside the price of this, there is no better way to see New York. The pilot gave us interesting information through the whole trip.

A safe and exhilarating experience, safer than driving to work. Staff was professional and courteous.

We loved the helicopter tour. You have the pilot giving information about the buildings plus you get to listen in on the air traffic control too. Sprinkles the experience with a little neat fact. We did the tour in the morning and it was clear and beautiful.
