True BBQ

Just had some hash and rice. Very tasty Next time I will order a larger portion and add hot sauce. My first time here. Glad they reopened.

First time here, I saw there story the other day on the news & I had to make that hour drive over to see this place.. I love local family own businesses so I'm always looking for places to try while I'm out & about. Folks the outside & inside is definitely a turn off so I was iffy about everything, so I only got the pulled pork bought 1 pound of that for $15 witch wasn't too bad at all, the gentleman who was gathering the orders let me get some of the vinegar & BBQ base dressing, the vinegar base is ok need some more vinegar for sure, I'm just used to eastern Carolina bbq witch is nothing but vinegar base but folks that BBQ aka red sauce is on point it got a little kick but it's definitely DELICIOUS.. Yo that pulled pork is definitely made with LOTS of LOVE, it was moist from the start to the end, I'll definitely be making the trip back here & will be trying the rest of that deliciousness coming out of that kitchen..

It used to be very good I have eaten there lots of times before without any problems but today it just wasn’t the same I give them a star for the wonderful service not the food!

These guys are trying to get back on their feet but oh my goodness they have some great flavors meats. Cooked too perfection and great without sauce but greater with. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic BBQ. I had the chopped pork, and it went down perfectly with their pretty lady mustard sauce. The sides were also great: I would recommend the collards, mac and cheese, and rice to anyone. True is a 15 minute drive from downtown Columbia, but well worth it.

Went to the zoo and at the end of the day needed a place to eat. Google brought us here. Definitely a local "hole in the wall". You know the kind of place that is small but all the locals know how good it is!! When we arrived they were very busy... another good sign. Even with the constant stream of people we got our food in a timely manner and it exceeded our expectations!!!! The sides and main dish were to die for! The staff were over the top friendly and helpful! I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the area!

Truly enjoyed my plate.I wanted the baby back ribs & baked beans but they were sold out however these spare ribs were great & the hash was amazing.I advise you to get there early because they stay very busy in store & phone orders,stuff gets gone fast. The sexy lady sauce is great

The Big BBQ sandwich with “Sexy Lady” tomato based sauce is amazing. The meat itself has the perfect amount of smoke, and is delicious all alone. They also have “Pretty Lady”, mustard based sauce, and “Vinegar Red”, which is a vinegar base. I can’t wait to try both of those sauces in the future. We stopped at True BBQ on a whim. I have no regrets. Since moving to South Carolina, we have been repeatedly disappointed by the bbq. But not today. Today was some of the best I’ve had in two years!

Milton and the entire True BBQ team are OUTSTANDING! They make you feel like you are home....and the food....OUTRAGEOUSLY GOOD! 10 STARS. We will be back.

Nothing taste the same. They don't sell plates anymore. You have to buy by the pound. Hash and rice by the pound. More rice than hash, and the hash went from a 10 to a 2. I will not be going back again. I bet they won't last 6 months.$15.99 a pound for rice with a little bit of hash. Not very good hash at that.
