True Food Kitchen is delicious and health-conscious. Me and my group of 7 enjoyed our time here! The non-alcoholic drinks are good enough but maybe slightly too “healthy” for me because I would’ve liked more sweetness. The restaurant interior is modern and comfortable and there’s a lot of parking in the garage.
The bartender Aaron was great and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant seemed clean and has nice decor. The food wasn’t that great. The herb hummus was good. But I didn’t like the house made pita bread. It was very flat and reminded me of a tortilla shell. I also ordered the spaghetti squash casserole. The dish was weird. The squash was shredded like hash brown potatoes. The tomato tasted sour. The onion was understated. The cheese was cooked too long and was hard. And the overall dish was bland so I added salt and pepper. Aaron offered to take the dish and replace it with something else. However, I just kept the dish hoping it would grow on me. It didn’t. My cousin had the watermelon salad and he enjoyed it. I am looking for restaurants that serve vegetarian options but I’m not sure if I’ll return here. I don’t think the food quality matches the price. The restaurant wasn’t that busy but it was loud and hard to talk to the person sitting across from you.
A decent amount of gluten free options. I picked the tofu and quinoa bowl, without green beans. This was my first time ever at a True Food restaurant, and I am pleasantly impressed. The food was very fresh and healthy. My brother ordered a pizza and he was also happy with it. We also ordered the chocolate lava cake for dessert. The ice cream on top was delicious, and the cake was fine too. It’s not too sweet as it’s dark chocolate. The service was also great. We sat outside and there was no wait for a table.
The place is very cute decor. The food did take a while to come around 40 minutes. The food was good, but i was pretty disappointed that the crust for the margarita pizza was burned which was a bummer. Our waiter was nice, but we kept on having to find her if we wanted something. Other than that, I would’ve given a 5 star
We had a solid meal at true food. They have a broad menu including a seasonal menu which is fun to browse. The classic grass fed burger was very tasty and the sweet potato hash was excellent. They also have many seasonal juices that are similar to mocktails but are much cheaper. The prickly pear one was great. Our service was fast and the waiters were friendly. Note- there is free parking in the garage.
Went as a big group and had a wonderful time!! Our server did an amazing job of taking care of everyone's orders. The only issue I had was that they were out of many food options that I could've had! I had to order 3x times and my food was messed up however everyone else at the table had a wonderful time. They have an open kitchen concept which was very cool to see. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking in the garage!
Had a decent range of options of plant based food. We had the edamame guacamole, seasonal ingredient salad my favorite, teriyaki quinoa bowl. The quacamole was on the salty side. While overall food tasted decent, I think they over use sauces and salt, i.e. high sodium and not healthy! It was one of the few decent vegetarian options open late in the area. Our server was not very attentive, never refilled water, delivered our order slower than the table next to us who arrived later, and kept talking without masks about his life spitting into my food.
Was my first time and I believe will be last… I do not know why it was actually very crowded or maybe I was unlucky I don’t know. My hamburger was horrible to be honest McDonald’s even serves better I think it was reheated the bread was burnt so I could not eat. I thought the plant based grown meat would be different well seriously had no taste and was horrible. I couldn’t tell the server unfortunately… Burnt fried when the sweet potatoes were burnt. And for the price the quality you get no no no… how can you manage to destroy a hamburger well very easy here you go. Service was ok, very attentive also the entrance is so weird like I entered from pick up area which doesn’t state on the door I didn’t understand if I was supposed to go to a check in area or was I supposed to be self seated.
***Old review 08/21*** Alright the establishment was clean and the layout overall was pretty cool. Easy to get a table. Parking is pretty good as you can park in the garage attached to the shopping area. The food ordered was sadly not as good as I was imagining. It seemed fresh but my burger came out lukewarm/cold. The kale I can imagine was just kale nothing special. The pasta that my fellow foodie ate was ok a spaghetti squash dish. The healthy aspect was what brought me here but the taste didn’t live up to the other reviews I read. Also few items were not available thus having to change my order a few times. The service… well I hate to say it but it was really lacking. I had to hunt down my waitress and even ask another waitress for help. I understand we can also the QR code for ordering, but I wanted to clarify a few things prior to ordering. Outside of that the food I suppose was alright. I would’ve probably ate elsewhere considering the experience that was had. I will maybe give this place another go eventually when I forget about this last experience to say I gave it another try. *** update 09/13/21 My significant other and I came back to Try out the Fall season menu which was amazing and we felt that it was much tastier than the menu we had before! We had the butternut squash soup and Brussels sprouts for an appetizer. The soup was excellent and the Brussels sprouts flavorful! As far as the main course we had the margarita pizza and the chicken sausage which had been cooked perfectly. The ingredients like the cheese and crust were good. The squash pie was the finishing touch. Service… was so comfortable and casual I felt at home compared to the first time. Dominique our waitress was patient with us and gave us such good suggestions on food. Very polite and attentive and generally overall I felt that this experience was the 5 star experience I have heard about mainly times from other friends. I look forward to be a continued patron of this restaurant and support them!
Parking is difficult here. You have to valet. The food was delicious but they should have some quality control before the food goes out to their customers. The flat bread that was served to me had like 2 slices missing on one end of the flatbread. After I told the server, they simply took my plate away and made another one without asking if that was what I wanted as I had to wait for the food to be cooked all over again. It’s not great when you are hungry and in a hurry. When the second flat bread arrived, it barely had anything topping and was much smaller too compared to the first one. Pictures taken. You shouldn’t serve guest a flatbread that’s missing on one end and pretend it’s ok. No service recovery was made. When we asked for a box and the bill and told that we were on a hurry, she could still take her time serving another table dessert, lighting the candles which took like forever and then sang a very slow happy birthday. Then offered to take pictures for them too! We already said we were in a hurry and couldn’t she be more sensitive to her guest needs. Not impressed at all.
