My favorite juice spot ever!!! I discovered them on a previous trip to DC & make sure to visit each time I come. Wish I had a more local spot this good!!! My daughter devoured the spinach pie & loved the cool names of the juices.
Love that they have a location close to Howard now. Staff is always friendly and able to give recommendations. The vegan desserts taste amazing but the veggie pat-tie is my favorite to get. The patties are always fresh and hot. Smoothies don't have added sugar which I love !
Fake juices… management should be ashamed for selling cleanses that are cut with pasteurized juice!!
I’m glad I discovered this place, often times in the morning I’m busy and have to rush out. I purchase my own sea moss from followers of dr Sebi like crushfoster, victor bowman, the fig tree at times, and though it’s a bit pricey the quality is worth it. I couldn’t make a better smoothie at home. They have excellent add ons like maca powder, sea moss, and spirulina if I’m not mistaken. This place makes my day when I’m in a rush, if you’re too lazy to make your own sea moss from scratch pay to enjoy it convieniantly
Constantly out of items. Prices insanely high for the quality. Never open according to their hours. Always close early. Never have spinach patties. Have been trying to give them chances. I work nearby, I support black businesses, but this just looks bad. Not worth my time or money anymore. They have definitely lost a regular. Management doesn't listen to the customers or care about them.
Update: I am changing my original 2 star review to a 5 star review. I recently started going back to this location after taking a little break. When I went back, I met Jerri! Jerri is simply amazing! They had my favorite drink in stock Nipsey Blue which had been out for some time. Jerri really restored my faith in the Shaw location. The few updates they have done to location are looking good. I can now go back to spending all my money at Turning Natural lol. Original Review 2 Star The Shaw Howard location never has anything. They are always out of Blue Spirulina that goes in the nipsey blue. The juices always look like they've been sitting for a while. The food quality is also a hit or miss. Don't get me wrong, I love supporting this business but they really need to get the Shaw location together. I go to the Shaw location consistently because it is near my job but I sometimes hate going to this location because I sometimes have to settle for another drink that I originally didn't want. The customer service is what keeps me coming back. Each person I have ever interacted with has always been amazing! Management needs to do better with making sure this location is well stocked.
Wow!! We stopped in after an appointment at Children’s National next door and got an awesome smoothie chill pill and some of the veggie patties which are SO good, just enough slickness and plenty of veggies. Delicious! Fresh juices plus waffles, veggie burgers, and more. What a great addition to the neighborhood!
This is hands down my favorite smoothie place, I fell in love with it in district heights. But the shaw location is so ridiculous. Every time I try and go there during OPEN HOURS, it’s closed. It’s literally been months since I’ve stepped inside because it’s closed every single time I try to get a smoothie. This is ridiculous.
This place is a little gem. Who knew there was an unpretentious, high quality juice place in DC? Owned by a former aeronautical engineer ! whose mother founded the business after being diagnosed with breast cancer, this place hires from the community and serves all natural, fresh pressed juices and fresh smoothies. Plus it's a great way to support a local, black woman-owned business!
Every time I try and go to the Shaw location during business hours, it’s closed. Is this location still open?
