This is THE dive jazz club in DC. While I was there they were boasting they are the oldest jazz place in the city. The live music was excellent but the $15 cover was a bit much. Drinks are limited but the prices are reasonable. Don't expect quick service. The bar is a kick.
Food was great! Music was great! Loved everything about Twins Jazz! Thank you: FYI: Ticket was $15 per person. You need to order more than $10 minimum.
Great Jazz Club! Great menu. Very reasonably priced. Mixed and packed crowd. Wonderful staff. I look forward to going again.
Cool music, fun venue. Drinks are fine, dessert was not great. We got the chocolate cake and it tasted odd. Not just stale, but something else. Stick to drinks and you should be fine. The performers we've seen here have been consistently good.
I took a friend for his Birthday and we had a blast. The entertainment, staff and food were awesome. Cozy and intimate setting.
Both times I've been here the music has been really wonderful. It is a hole in the wall, but it gives it listening club feel. Come a little bit early to snag your perfect seat, it often fills up. Sit in the back if you want to talk - but you can feel the Jazz as it encompasses your soul, so good luck! The food is not bad and the mixed drinks were delicious and strong!
I saw two bands here in one week and they were both excellent. One night the place was packed, and the other night the place was almost empty. The food was good but the service was a little lax. I didn't mind because the staff was very friendly when I went up to the bar and asked for another drink. I visit jazz clubs in many cities and Twins is among my favorites. Truly authentic feel and it is really all about the music.
This is such a great club... the best Ethiopian food around and great local live jazz. The food is reasonably priced, the staff is extremely friendly ....and the music is always really good. Sure-- it costs $10 to get in, but nearly all of that goes tp the musicians. All in all a great value, plus the feel good points for supporting local artists!!!
I usually don't write reviews, but this place really felt like a big scam. They told us after sitting down and ordering a bottle of wine that they charge a $15 cover per person. I know that taste is subjective, but music was really not great. And you are not even allowed to have a conversation while they are playing. Overall a never ending and truly horrible experience! Do yourself a favor and don't go there.
Fantastic place. I came for a Jazz concert last week, and I loved the pleasant atmosphere. Diner was not exactly excellent, but the place is so cool, that you don't mind in the end. The concert by Kenny Rittenhouse was really great. Very good address!
