Best experience with John - he takes great pride in his work and should be elevated within the corporate structure if that’s something he’d want - he’s been working there for well over a decade and is a pro! Now ownership just needs to prioritize fixing the office AC so that he isn’t uncomfortable!

I had the greatest experience with the manager, John and the team at this U Store location. I started with them as a student at Howard university needing a place to put my stuff when I would travel home during breaks and it was clutch. Never had any issues with management or employees even when I had questions or concerns they were patient with me. I’ll never forget how Mr. Backman was so helpful with me moving in and out of dorms and to the storage unit. He went above and beyond. If I could do it all again I would still choose them. Thanks for everything Take care of my guy John he’s the best!

I had a great experience. On the good side, the staff were awesome and incredibly helpful. They were readily available to help with any issues or questions. Also, the location was incredibly convenient. Being 5 minutes from my house and a U-Haul facility made it a wonderfully convenient option for me. On the the bad side, the unit could have been a bit cleaner when I moved in. Overall it was a very good experience and I'd store things there again.

Can't say enough great things about this facility! John the manager is the best and always so accommodating. They keep the facilities clean, accessible, and welcoming at all time. Anything that ever came up I was able to hash out with John immediately and he always made a way to keep his renters happy. Many thanks and I hope the next place lives up to the new standard y'all created!

We leased a larger storage unit for the past several years. The facility was always well maintained, clean and free of rodents as far as we can tell. Staff was friendly, forthcoming and accommodating to our needs, including when we needed special assistance to load up our RV. I can recommend this facility without reservation.

I was able to reserve and rent the locker online by inputting some information, uploading my drivers' license and providing my credit card information. They followed up with me on the phone soon thereafter and when I showed up to move in the next day, it was a seamless process. The facility was clean and easy to access with my personalize PIN. The clerk was helpful and engaging. My only two suggestions would be to allow an automatic gate exit when you pull up to the gate now you have to use a PIN to open the gate to leave and better inside lighting.

The facility is clean and well managed. You must have a security code to access the facility and to use the elevators - the code always worked and made the facility feel safe. Access hours were convenient.. A big plus is that you can have packages delivered and the manager will place them in your storage unit. I rented a storage unit to store recent purchases for a short period before moving overseas, and being able to have packages delivered was super convenient. The only drawback is its location on New York Avenue. Traffic is usually terrible and that means that it takes a while to get there from downtown DC and to return.

This review is long overdue as I had such a great experience, I should've left this long ago, but had to move so quickly. Considering the manager accommodated me I knew I would need to eventually find the time. I had to leave on a weekend with little notice and he still allowed me to do so without any penalty. That's understanding at its finest. I highly recommend this location for its management. Thank you!

Store manager at the New York Ave, DC location was SO helpful each time I saw her. The first time I came, I arrived 30 mins late and she STILL allowed me to come in and set up my unit and was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process. The employees are always willing to go the extra mile to help - happy that I trusted them with my items. Definitely recommend
