The sound here is great. It's not the biggest venue in town but really means there aren't too many places where you'd get a bad view of the artist. Drinks are reasonably priced and the energy is always good.

Uhall is a really nice venue. Although not as big as some of the other venues I've been to in dc, it's still pretty good. Seen a few artists here that were really good.

We came here to see our favorite band, Jeremy Loops. Jeremy and his band are an extremely talented South African group. My husband is also South African, but now we live in North Carolina. We saw Jeremy loops for the first time in a small beach town in South Africa. Instantly, we fell in love with him and his music. When the tour dates were announced and we saw D.C. on the list, we were stoked. We immediately started planning our trip to D.C. to see Jeremy loops. The venue itself is just ok, but the staff we found to be very unprofessional. I, my husband, and the other couple that came with us stood at the very front of the stage. It was amazing being so close to them with no barriers. The energy in that place was insane. I took some pictures on my iphone and on my go pro of not only the band, but us as well.
It was announced that they were only allowed one more song due to another band coming on right after. It’s the last 30 seconds of the concert and I am jumping and singing my heart out. All of a sudden, I get a tap on the shoulder from a security guard. I was escorted away from the stage, where I was told I could not use “professional photography equipment” and that I would need to delete anything that was taken on my gopro whilst in their facility. Despite its name, go pro is far from professional. I was so confused and caught off guard by the whole situation. I started asking the security guard and manager questions; When my bag was checked by your security 2.5 hours ago, why was nothing said about my go pro? Why was nothing said to me during the 2 hours prior to being pulled away? Why were there no signs posted?, etc. They had no answers to any of my questions, and I was asked to leave.
Instead of staying to speak and take pictures with the band members, I was told I had to leave the premises or they would call the cops. The whole situation was handled unprofessionally. If Jeremy and his band return to D.C., hopefully they will choose a different venue with friendlier staff.

Nice venue, pretty small so makes for an intimate experience. Went there twice for Glide DC, which was a great show. Good, friendly staff. Quick service at the bar. Overall a great place!
